My experience with Well in the Desert began five years ago when a friend introduced me to Arlene Rosenthal the President of Well in the Desert. She is a dynamo who makes things happen. I liked her energy immediately. I wanted to give back for all the blessings I've received in my life and for the help given my family when I was a child. I asked to be a volunteer in the best way I could be of service. I am a photographer and began photographing their various events. I posted my collages and photos on their website and facebook page. My idea was to bring more awareness to Well in the Desert. I have seen firsthand how peoples lives have been changed by being given a hand up, not a hand out. They serve the Western Coachella Valley by providing a variety of services which include feeding those who are hungry or in need. Seniors, homeless, and the under served as well as emergency assistance. They offer daily meals, Saturday lunches and Sunday meals. I heartily support the efforts of Well in the Desert helping to feed as many people as possible. For more information please go to their website at http://wellinthedesert.org Kae
