Causes: Homeless & Housing, Homeless Shelters, Housing & Shelter, Housing Search Assistance, Temporary Housing
Mission: Welcome Home works to honor Veterans and restore their lives, with a vision to end Veteran homelessness. Through our organization, homeless and at-risk Veterans are provided shelter, permanent/rapid re-housing assistance, food, supplies, transportation, employment assistance, individualized case management, advocacy, connection to collaborating partners for mental, physical, and VA eligible benefits, and access to a greater quality of life – a life our Veterans deserve.
Results: Through our programs and services Welcome Home enrolled and served 434 Veterans and family members in 2023, and our goal is to serve the same, or more, annually. On average, 60%+ of the homeless Veterans enrolled in our Emergency & Transitional Shelter positively move into independent, permanent housing within 127 days of enrollment in the program. (National average is 51% in shelter programs similar to ours) On average, 90%+ of the Veterans enrolled in our Permanent Housing Program positively obtain or maintain independent, permanent housing within 36 days of enrollment in the program. (National average is 74% in permanent housing programs similar to ours)
