Mission: Our mission is to conduct and teach biomedical research that improves the understanding, treatment, and prevention of disease worldwide. The Webb-Waring scientists focus their research on oxidants and antioxidants rather than one single disease. By learning how the delicate balance between oxidants and antioxidants is controlled and affeccted by aging, malignancy, nutrition and disease, we can understand a fundamental mechanism common to many diseases.
