Causes: Education
Mission: Our mission is to provide quality comprehensive Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) programs to youth ages 4 through 13 that emphasize fun activity-based learning that reinforces the knowledge and skills needed for success in life.
Results: Since incorporated in 2009, and providing Full Day Summer STEM Fun Camp since 2014 the organization has served over 200 children ages 4 through 13 throughout Baltimore City and Baltimore County; Provide job opportunities to over 60 Youth Workers in partnership with Baltimore City Mayor's Office of Employment and Development; Established Educational Learning Centers in Southeast Baltimore (2 sites) and (2 sites in Northeast Baltimore supporting Full Day Summer STEM Fun Camp and (1 site) in the Govans community providing the Meet Me After School Program.
Target demographics: Underserved Youths in Low-Income Communities
Direct beneficiaries per year: 145 youths and 20 youthworkers
Geographic areas served: Baltimore City, Maryland
Programs: Full Day Summer STEM Fun Camp-Six Week program held June through August, Monday through Friday from 9am to 3pm. Academic programming (four academic subjects and electives daily); weekly field trips, STEM Instructions, Build A Drone Workshop, Free Breakfast and Lunch Daily. Meet Me After School Program: Year round school program held Monday through Thursday from 3pm to 6pm; providing reading/math and tutorial services and enrichment programs (e.g., Arts, Music, STEM, Wellness; Free Supper and Snack
