Mission: Web for Education, created in 1996, is designed to assist in the technological advancement of children attending small schools in northeastern Pennsylvania. The scope of the WEF furthered its development in 1999 by filing for incorporation and forming a board of directors that would abide by the predetermined rules, regulations and guidelines described in its founding. In February 2000, Web for Education became a nationally recognized federal tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization so as to expand its program to all public PK-12 schools systems throughout the United States of America. The Web for Education Foundation's goal to provide the necessary tools our students need to succeed in the skilled information and technology workforce of their future is the purpose of our being.
