Mission: To further the visual arts program in the community of the university of north carolina at greensboro.
Programs: Within fy 2014-15, the weatherspoon art museum presented 17 gallery exhibitions, 8 of which featured work from the permanent collection. In addition, 4 small exhibitions from the collection were featured in the cone building atrium. Attendance during that period was 34,363; in addition, 20,000+ students attended classes in the building. One hundred nine guided tours were offered to grades pre-k to 12, serving 1,739 students, and 103 tours served 1,913 college students; ninety-eight adult tours serving 1,655 individuals were also offered. Fourty-seven public programs (including films, lectures, and teacher workshops) and served 2,915 people.
