Mission: Weantinoge is a nonprofit land trust that benefits the general public through education and the conservation of natural areas, fish and wildlife, and working farmland throughout northwest connecticut.
Programs: Weantinoge monitors each of its conservation easements and fee-owned preserves at least once annually. As part of the annual inspection process, weantinoge's staff reviews baseline data, prior inspection reports, management plans, conservation easements and deeds, and other relevant documentation. The land trust maintains property inspection records according to its recordkeeping policy. As part of the land acquisition process, weantinoge produces fee management plans and baseline documentation reports. During 2017, the land trust acquired 1 new conservation easement and 5 new properties by gift.
