We Rise Above The Streets is a life-changing nonprofit in the city of Syracuse that assists people in need of resources they can't get elsewhere. Mr. Muhammad is a very genuine person who strives to make life better for those who have it rough. The organization runs Sandwich Saturday events almost weekly where you can make sandwiches and then hand them out to the homeless along with hygiene products, clothing, and other necessities. Participating in these events will cleanse your heart and give you a new appreciation for the small things we have that we often take for granted. You can bring your whole family too, as there are often balloons for the kids that show up. It is a wonderfully humane experience and community to be a part of that I would highly recommend.
