Results: Since its inception, We Create Tech has made significant strides in promoting technology literacy and empowering communities through innovative programs and initiatives. Here are some key achievements: Educational Programs: We have successfully launched a series of workshops and training sessions focused on coding, digital literacy, and emerging technologies. Recently, we hosted a Summer Camp at Utopian Academy for the Arts Charter School Network in Atlanta, where students learned to combine their love for music, art, and technology. Participants engaged in “Coding with Music,” creating catchy digital ads and designing their own online portfolios using GitHub. They also gained valuable insights into digital marketing skills with the help of Microsoft volunteers. Partnership with Georgia Tech CEISMC: In collaboration with Georgia Tech’s CEISMC, we have actively participated in the InspiHer Movement, which aims to inspire and support female students in Newton County to envision careers in the tech industry. This partnership has facilitated impactful programs that broaden students' horizons regarding tech careers. Youth Engagement: Our initiatives have engaged students in hands-on technology projects, fostering creativity and critical thinking. Through workshops and programs like the Summer Camp, students had opportunities to present their visions and pitches, learning how to network and build their personal brands. Building Relationships: We are actively soliciting relationships within the education sector to enhance our impact and create more opportunities for students. By partnering with schools and educational organizations, we aim to provide meaningful experiences that empower young learners. Collaboration with Give 828: We are excited to announce our recent registration with Give 828, an organization dedicated to galvanizing support for grassroots efforts that empower Black communities. This partnership aligns with our mission to create positive change through education, mentoring, economic empowerment, and more. Feedback and Impact Assessment: Through participant surveys and feedback, we have gathered valuable insights that have informed our program improvements. Future Initiatives: Building on our successes, we are excited to announce upcoming programs focused on furthering our mission of democratizing technology access and education.
