They may have once been good. Back when they cared for their participants. Now they are all about a paycheck. . . They can't get their participants decent jobs, they can't get their participants food donations that are not expired and moldy. They can't even get their participants decent living quarters. Picture if you will 8 to 12 men or women to a 2 to 3 bedroom 1to2 bath ROACH infested apartments. . . I suffered through this cesspool of a program for a year, during that time i watched and heard of participants failing drug tests and nothing being done about it while others who were suppose to graduate have a false positive due to allergy meds have his graduation certificate be declared "void" all while his directors were telling him congratulations he did graduate... participants Sneaking off at all hours.
This program is a joke now. I highly recommend finding another one like Good Landing. . Something.... ANYTHING.. But this one.
This is a great place , I was at many sober living places and this was the best one I have been to . The staff does care about you and your recovery.
No not every place is perfect and we are not going to like everything. Bus as long as you do what your asked to do and take your recovery seriously it doesn't matter where your at. But here is like family. They will help you out with anything you need ,you just have to talk to someone and let them know what is going on . I have read the reviews,and the one that have a problem are the ones who think they are at home and can do what they want . Then get mad when it don't go there way. The staff here it great you just have to talk to them like I said and they will work with you . They let you come with no money .not many places let you do that. If it was not for Christy and Randy I would be dead by now . Because of them I have my Peer Support and BHT certificates. They are where my recovery journey started and I will always be great full for this program. Love y'all

My name is Kyla DeAngelo and I am a graduate of the We Are Living Proof sober living program as of April 2023. I heard about the program while I was incarcerated in Richmond County GA in 2022. I had heard of plenty of "rehabs" before but never a sober living program. I made the decision to give it a shot. IT BY FAR WAS THE BEST THING I THINK IVE EVER EVER DECIDED TO DO ON MY OWN! They not only helped me get a job and gave me a place to live, but taught me about getting out of myself and learning that I wasn't the only one with these types of problems in dealing with addiction. The people there have now become my family. I cannot give enough credit to people like Christy Nemeth, Randy Craft, Robert Colbert, Ellie Hammet, Jenn Martin, Jenn Linquist, Glenn Yankowski ,Brandy Rogers, Chris Burns, Elizabeth Carter and so many more for their amazing willingness to open and run a place like this to help others just to do and be better human beings in life! These people are in my opinion leaders of a generation who want to break the stereo type of being forever labeled as "addicts" but to let others know we can be in "recovery" and still let our past stories not define us, but to help others who may wonder how it is to succeed. I chose after I graduated to stick around the Lawrenceville area here in Atlanta because the network of people I've met and bonded with mean so much to me that I wanted to try and also do just that. I now am able to sponsor other girls like me. I chose to still help run and chair meetings that are in my opinion so important in this process. My story is definitely one I embrace and try to share to anyone who feels like there's just no way that things could be different or that they themselves can change. None of this would be possible with my higher power who I choose to be Jesus Christ and the important relationship that they helped me to find. Statistics show that not many of us in recovery actually make it, but the ones that do...make it such a beautiful place to live and love and shine. I live here at We Are Living Proof. And it has been a really great experience and has helped me stay sober and get back on my feet again. It has provided me a job, transportation, a way to meetings everyday, a way to church. And if I need food donations they are already there close by on campus. The staff is very friendly and on point. It is a great place to start your life over.
I battled with drugs and alcohol for over 20 years, been in and out of jail and prison over and over and over and over, been to countless programs and rehabs but nothing ever worked because I didn’t want it, I couldn’t imagine having to wake everyday without something to make me feel better being me, I was able to learn how to do that at We Are Living Proof. Not only was I able to be able to be off the streets, out of the trap houses, out of prison and in a safe environment around people that are extremely passionate about recovery and helping others….the staff had me a job within 24 hours, a job that I actually still have today. For the first time in my life I was able to build a network of healthy friendships and accountability. The world said I was a lost cause, I was hopeless and now today I still have a great relationship with We Are living Proof, I am fortunate, blessed enough to be able to go back and sponsors guys there. For over 20+ years I was unable to put 24 hours together and today I have 1 year, 2 months and 4 days. This place has provided the resources for me to completely re-create my life. I have been in addicted to crystal meth for 22 years. I cam to We Are Living Proof with absolutely nothing. On November 5th I will have 5 months clean. This is the longest I have had in about 10 years because I have worked the 12 steps with my sponsor. I work a full time job, go to meetings on a regular basis and in college at age 45 years old.
When I came to this program I had lost everything, with the tools provided by we are living proof I have been able to put the pieces back together and am building a healthy drug and alcohol free life. I have rebuilt connections with my family and the people I had pushed away do to my addiction. I have also made healthy connections with people in sobriety. The directors and people in guest services are great people who take time out of their days to make sure we get what we need to progress in bettering our lives.
If it wasn't for we are living proof and there amazing staff and owners I wouldn't be alive. They have giving me a chance at a new life and way of life and for that I am for ever greatful. They support me and help me anytime I need it or ask for it from advice to legal help to stopping me from making bad decisions. I went to living proof to change who i was the staff had me walk 6 miles to a close down mall then they put me in a room with 4 other people the apartment has bed bugs roachs and they dont care they only after money they got me a job and when i find a place that care and was real they called and made me lose my job that show they are not for people just money i help and spent money to help people they said they was helping we are living proof is no better then the drug dealers that sell the lies and manipulate people
Hello, my name is Brandy and I am an addict. Had it not been for this program I wouldn’t be where I am in life today. I came here with the clothes on my back and nothing but broken dreams, while today I am a graduate, I have a great job, I have trust and the ability to make better decisions for my life. Above all, even though I am a graduate, I still have my brothers and sisters at “We Are Living Proof.” I have never been so comfortable in my own skin and so confident making decisions in my life. I am by far perfect but with the tools provided to me through this program, I am able to see the signs and know by working the twelve steps when to check myself. I would like to recommend this program to anyone who is ready and willing to experience love and hope and above all a new way of life. My road to recovery was just as messy as yours. I remember spending Thanksgiving of 2016 in a homeless shelter with no idea what my future had in store for me. Christy was working for Sober Living America as the GM then, and her and her people showed me mercy and allowed me to be with them in Tampa, Florida. It was like living on vacation at first! I was able to put some physical distance between my troubles back home making it easier to focus solely on getting right with myself. It didn't take me long before I fell into the same habits I had back home. No amount of distance could help me when the issue that needed addressing. Christy figured me out REAL QUICK, too. She knew I wasn't being honest with myself and her willingness to help me was always reflective as to how much of the work I was putting in with myself. I was on and off with SLA for like 2 years before I finally mustered up the courage to be painfully honest with myself and my issues. Christy taught me that the ugly truth is something that we can always work with, despite our feelings.
Christy took all of the knowledge she has learned from her time at SLA to open up a sober living community thats built on Christ-like values and can REALLY be a game changer for anyone who is sick and tired of being sick and tired. Word of warning to anyone who thinks they are more experienced than Christy and her staff. The shuckin and jivin "boo game" won't work on Christy and her staff. God has ordained them all with inhuman levels of both compassion and discernment, meaning if you try to be anything other than honest with the folks at We Are Living Proof, you'll be humbled right quick by how fast you're thrown out, and you'll only ever have yourself to blame for it.
You can come to them with anything you're dealing with, and they will walk with you side by side through hell itself just to make sure you make through on the other side.

Lets fast forward to June 1st of 2023. I have 2 years on the job selling cars at my local GM dealership. I sold 16 last month. 20 the month before. There is a red 15 passenger van on its way to me that I got to build out for We are Living Proof. I feel like my life has come full circle and that I am LIVING PROOF that ANY of us can be a success story!!!
We are living proof definitely saved my life. I was lost, broken, hopeless and was at my bottom. After coming in and immediately starting work the next day and getting through the rough first 2 weeks, I was able to start my step work get more use to the routine of work, meetings and being sober everyday. I graduated in dec of 2022 and me and my husband were able to get a place of our own still in the community in may of 2023. This place is amazing & there’s so much more to say but I’m currently swimming with my babies I’m forever grateful for WALP and more grateful for Christy for being the woman she is and helping other people in addiction. I’m 1 day I will have a year sober and I couldn’t have done it without the help of this organization.
This program has given me my life back, my family and they became my family as well. Everybody is a family at we are living proof and they genuinely care about each individuals circumstances! They will help you anyway they can while you are there and once you leave. They will help with resources to work your 12 steps give you a road map to succeed if you listen! They take you to and from meetings and have a job for you within the first day you arrive with some of the highest paying jobs around!
This sober living community is life changing. The staff is highly knowledgeable in what is takes to begin building an amazing sober life. Hello I am a concerned Friend/Step Parent who this past Sat had my friend/step son (his mom passed yr ago) dropped off middle of night ,all his property because he failed drug test, he relapsed after a unfortunate day . The drug he was on came from another in the "program". I was told after 5 days he can return. Well this non profit status is a profit business, it seems to me what I've heard is they charge 8 people 1000 mth or pay 250 weekly, They have contracts with low paying jobs most people wouldn't take, they work 40 hr weeks and the "CEO" gets guaranteed pay. They get rides to and from work, well how nice of them but if you work anywhere other than their places they picked for you then you have no ride. They get food donated to them and it's in bulk of BS food. Tons of bread cans of beans , can corn. Basically low level foods or left over from can drive? Very unhealthy but you get what you can to eat. Most of your check goes to them because you seem to owe balances always. So two bedroom Lawrenceville ,8 men 8,000 a MTH for 2 bedroom apt is prob 1000 mth rent so 7000 profit there minus utilities. Food included depends on who gets what. They go to 12 step program which is free and random drug test like once a month. If someone's balance is high they owe the tell them to pay what they have then throw them out on street penniless . That's not non profit it's called slavery ,they can't earn enough to leave working jobs barely able to pay rent. These people have got the scam down if you ask me this is slavery 100%, most are court ordered so if they not ready to quit they def going to have drugs there every sober living does, my son's been in a few so I've gone thru this before. So they do not care about these kids they care about money and not much work. Most likely the main people worked at low paying jobs ,uneducated and found a way to make good money off the drug addicts in Ga. Most the sober livings don't have many that remain sober . Sorry fact.

Without this program I’d be dead or incarcerated, this place saved my life. We Are Living Proof truly cares about all of their residents and their recovery. I have been to rehabs and other structured living facilities. I came to We are Living Proof broken and hopeless. I wanted to stop drinking and using but couldn't. No matter the consequences I continued in a self destructive pattern of addiction. I would pick up, lose my place to live, lose custody of my children, be rejected by family, go to jail, get sober and start all over again. We are Living Proof has shown me how to live and recover. I followed suggestions, went to meetings, got a sponsor, worked the steps. I have found a new way to live and I see the world differently. I am now full of hope and joy that I never could have imagined. I have mended relationships that I thought to be irreparable. I have learned to use the tools provided me by the 12 step model of recovery. I have learned that honesty, open mindedness, and willingness are keys to my recovery. I try to stay humble knowing that only by reaching out to others and making connections will I stay clean. I have found a family, a community, and a network of people who don't judge me. They hold me accountable, encouraging me to aim high and be successful. I am supported emotionally as I rebuild my life. The structured housing, employment, transportation, and big book studies alone were life changing but the community of people I am around have helped create the spiritual awakening that I needed to heal. God is good. We do recover. I am living proof.
I was mandated to a different sober living that I left because they just wanted my money and didn’t care about me and my recovery-or anyone else. I found We Are Living Proof by sheer luck and immediately knew I was in the right place. They brought me to amazing meetings where I found my sponsor Ive had for over 2 years now. They gave me the tools I needed to get back out in the world and become an actual productive member of society. I credit a lot of what I’ve done in the last 2 and a half years to their program. I got my daughter back, I have a home, I have a new car, and amazing job. We Are Living Proof cares about every single person that is there. We are Living Proof has become a place that I can honestly say has changed my life in so many ways. All these stories are from staff members. complete fabrication of what it's like to be at we are living proof. The staff running the flowery branch campus are sexual predators. I seen countless broken young men befriended and allowed to use drugs then when they failed a random drug test they were forced to engage in sexual acts to remain in the program. Everyone who stayed in the program directors apt relapsed. They dont care about discarding people who genuinely want to turn thier lives around if it doesn't fit thier agendas. 8 men in a 2 bedroom apt is more than overwhelming considering it's $900 a week a person and you're lucky to get 4 good hours of sleep after working a 12 hr shift because the overly flamboyant director and asst director have no concideration or respect for those who have to work real jobs. As a resident i never failed a drug test never broke curfew. I went out of my way to be a example to other men until i realized what really was going on behind the scenes. They allow anyone with a drivers license to drive people to and from work and meetings. background checks are never done. They put any and everyones lives at risk.I once was driven home from work in the snow by a older gentlemen who cannot see at night. By the grace of God i got my life together without the support i payed for. Tagedy continues to happen in this particular program because WE ARE LIVING PROOF FOCUSES ON PROFIT NOT RECOVERY AND DAMN SURE NOT PEOPLE. You can be discharged for any reason at anytime and everything you accumulate through sacrifice and hardwork can and will be stolen from you because the Staff allows it.IF PEOPLE RECOVER THIER PROFITS GO DOWN SO THEY GO OUT OF THIER WAY TO KEEP THE REVOLVING DOOR OF PEOPLE WANTING TO BETTER THEM SELVES WIDE OPEN. Dont take my word for it its all over the news. I feel for the families that lost loved ones but families shouldn't have to pay for WE ARE LIVING PROOFS BAD KARMA
My experience unfortunately was more damaging than good. I truly believe in the program and that their intentions are good I just didn’t experience that. I was forgotten about and had to remind staff I needed to get to work, work they assigned to me. I was placed in a 2 bed 1 bath apartment with 9 other females. The entire 4 hours I was home a day I listened to doors slam and fights. The staff did nothing but condone it and the use of Kratom from individuals in their clique. The male campus seems to be more organized and positive in nature which I had hoped to experience. I came in broken and scared to live and left even worse! I whole heartedly believe in the program of “We are living Proof” just not the campus I attended. This is a substance abuse facility that knowingly is allowing residents to use and abuse substances and others. I experienced and witnessed more bullying and threats of intimidation in the short amount of time I was there than I had in life. I hope this campus can get it together for the still sick and suffering! I write this as I wait for admittance to a crisis stabilization center for depression and suicidal ideation brought on by my traumatic experience at the female campus.
I have been with WALP for a year and a half and known Christy for a long time. Throughout this time I have graduated the program, become a program director of the women’s campus and been able to get my license back. I feel like I have really gotten my life back together and can’t wait to see what else is in store for me.

They didn't make me leave like most places do when you graduate. they gave me a sober living environment so I could become a member of society again. At We Are Living Proof, we are driven by recovery, although time is important, getting what you pay for is more important, and with us it is based off of a 4 phase system, that has proven to work time and time again. I have struggled with addiction for years and went to several treatment programs throughout Georgia. We are living proof has by far been the cream of the crop. I was welcomed with open arms and loved unconditionally by the amazing staff, especially Berkeley. This is a great program for people who need help with addiction recovery.
I have been working with WLP as a partner and 12 Step Spiritual group leader for 3 years now and have watched the development of their plans and the growth of their clients. It has reached an all time peak of recovery time as many clients are beyond a year clean which in itself is something maybe 10-20% ever achieve. I believe it is because of the quality of this program and the accountability that they are rapidly moving forward with changed lives, then using those who mature to lead others. WLP is a classic example of how to do addiction recovery.
I program hopped for a few years before finding We Are Living Proof. They gave me the tools and guidance I needed to become a successful and productive member of society again. The program saved my life and continues to make an impact in the lives of others on a daily basis. They definitely didn't give up on me like others had. Thank you for everything yall do and continue to do not only in my life but others as well!
I have had the pleasure of being a part of this community for quite some time. Just like all places people can see the good and the bad in them. With that being said I can only share my experience with we are living proof, my experience with this program is that they truly love others and have a real desire to want to help other people like myself find a good change in their life. The ones who are in charge here only care and love being able to help other people overcome problems that are caused by alcoholism and addiction. We are living proof provides the right type of opportunity and the tools and suggestions on how to live a happy sober life outside of any other rehab or structured living community that I have been around. If there is anyone out there that is looking for a place to go who is needing help I highly suggest this program it has done wonders for myself and I have also seen it do wonders in others lives who have been very close to me. I was definitely lost in the worst of my addiction I definitely should not be alive right now to be able to write this review but with the help of we are living proof and the 12 steps I can honestly say that I have fully surrendered and I'm able to live a better life from this day forward.

I was addicted to heroin, xanax, and meth. I am a resident at Living Proof. Living Proof has given me the tools to maintain sobriety. Before coming to Living Proof I was homeless, jobless, afraid, and lonely. I have a sponsor I work the 12 steps of Alcoholics Anonymous with. I attend a 12 step meeting everyday and work a "normal" job. Thanks to Living Proof I am learning how to become a responsible productive woman. My relationships with my family and friends is being restored everyday. This place is given me my life back plus the life I only dreamed of. I am excited about my life and my recovery now!

I was addicted to crack, meth, and heroin for 4 years before coming to Living Proof. This program has allowed me to work a successful program of recovery and I now have three months of clean time. This program has absolutely changed my life. Living Proof got me out of the streets and into twelve-step meetings and gainful employment. Before coming to Living Proof I was a part-timer, barely ever paying attention in the meetings and not taking my recovery seriously. Now I treat my recovery just like I would a full-time job and this program has taught me to place my recovery first above anything else in order to succeed.
I truly believe that this program has helped me beyond measure. Living Proof has kept me off the streets, away from drugs, crime-free, and has become a life-changing experience I'll never forget.
