Results: Success in Adolescent Residential Programs: Reduction in need for psychiatric hospitalization- 87% of clients did not require hospitalization; 87% of teenagers stopped running away; 88% teens functioning well and maintaining aftercare goals six months after discharge; 81% families remained together six months after having child/teen return home from a residential program. Success with Families: 95% of families who were served by Wayside were very satisfied with the services they received; 93% are better able to deal with the mental health issues of their child. Counseling Clients Report Improvements: 96% report high satisfaction with the quality of the services received; 82% of teenagers were not using alcohol and other drugs at discharge from Wayside services.
