Causes: Education
Mission: All Wayne and Pike families to be healthy, educated and self sufficient, living in a safe home and safe community.
Results: In 2024 the Wayne County Family Center is celebrating 30 years of serving the community, bringing early education right into a family's home.
Target demographics: families that have children prenatal up to age 5
Direct beneficiaries per year: more than 45 children by bringing early education right to their home, 27 children through our Play & Learn and Growing Gardeners program, 6 single-parent families with the NEPA Parent Pathways program, and more!
Geographic areas served: Wayne and portions of Pike County, Pennsylvania
Programs: the FREE Parents as Teachers home visiting program, home-based Early Head Start, Play & Learn socialization groups, Northeast PA Parent Pathways and more.
