Mission: Watts village theater company nurtures and produces original works of theater and educational programming that inspire action and dialogue about contemporary social issues to honor the rich history, cultural diversity and under-served populations of south los angeles.
Programs: Wvtc served 5,000 watts families through its productions, including 500 students ages 14-18 years old through its production of "simply maria, or the american dream" at animo locke charter high school in watts. Wvtc co-produced meet me @metro iii with over a dozen other non-profit organizations and artists throughout los angeles along various metro stations in east la. Wvtc conducted free arts classes in front of the martin luther king jr hospital in willowbrook for over 500 community members.
