Causes: Developmentally Disabled Centers, Disabilities, Human Services
Mission: To provide adult day care services including meals, personal care, socialization and therapy to 30-40 individuals over age 50 wtih dementia and to raise awareness in the community about the causes, symptoms and treatments of dementia.
Programs: 1. Maintained approximately 20 participants in our program to prevent long term institutional care placement through socialization, brain enhancement and physical exercise. 2. Provided education programs for caregivers including training on caring for the elderly and community outreach programs. 3. Provided healthy food and lifestyle programs to prevent malnutrition and dehydration in the elderly and keep clients out of hospitals.
