Mission: Washington Wilderness Coalition works to preserve and restore wild areas in Washington State through citizen empowerment, support for grassroots community groups, advocacy and public education.

Results: Since 1979, Washington Wilderness Coalition has had a key role in protecting over 2 million acres of wilderness in Washington state. Most recently WWC was instrumental in securing protections for the Wild Sky Wilderness.

Geographic areas served: Washington State

Programs: Preserving Wilderness, protecting our last remaining Roadless Forests, designating Wild & Scenic Rivers, reforming hard rock Mining, protecting threatened and endangered species including wolves and grizzly bears, and public education on wild lands conservation.

I think I've been on a crew party cleaning up a trail, which is a Great Experience! I think this is the best organization for repelling the advances of an Over Industrialized World wiping out up all Resources in its Path!
