Down East Business Alliance - helps create jobs in eastern Maine by helping people start and grow small businesses through workshops, one-on-one business counseling, and networking opportunities. Transportation - provides transportation to those on MaineCare to non-emergency medical appointments and provides a public bus throughout our rural, two county region. Elder Services - Friendship Cottage provides adult day service to dependent adults who may be coping with physical, mental or memory challenges. At Home Downeast is a member-based, volunteer supported program designed to provide residents of the nine-town Peninsula community with essential services, enabling them to continue to live independently in their homes as they age.
