The Walter Reed Society is an outstanding organization. While I was at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, they helped me tremendously with a grant to help pay some of my bills that had fallen behind while I was there with my son, who was injured. I was so grateful for the help they gave to me and it helped me concentrate more on the recovery of my son.

Mission: To provide support to wounded soldiers and their families.
Programs: Warrior/family support fund (wfsf) - the walter reed society warrior/family support fund is used to assist service members and/or their families when support provided through invitational travel orders (ito) does not meet the immediate needs during the patient's treatment at walter reed national military medical center. About 200 wounded warriors and their family members have received assistance from the fund to help with travel, lodging and subsistence expenses for the year ended december 31, 2016.
