I was placed in Walden House by the Veterans Administration because they had no other housing available earlier this year. My personal belongings were delivered there by Hope House VA where I previously resided for storage during my stay. When I was discharged and went to collect my belongings after securing a storage locker, my brand new $1400.00 guitar and brand new flat-screen TV were missing/stolen. I am now pursuing recovery of my belongings by first, as required by law, seeking a meeting with the principals of Walden House to ask for my property to either be returned or to receive equal compensation for my missing/stolen property. My alternative to satisfactory resolution of this meeting is to take appropriate legal action which I intend to do if necessary. It is a travesty that an organization like yours employs predators who prey on clients who already have nothing!!

I have seen the amazing and wonderful work that this non-profit has done for my family. They have dedicated and experienced staff that helped a family member when they needed it most. Our family owes everything to Walden House, because without them we probably would have to that family member to their addiction. So after 8 years, we are still active donors and will encourage others to donate to this non-profit, because we know first hand the wonderful services and outcomes they provide.
