I have been a volunteer for the Wade Smith Foundation (Dallas area) for two years now. The main thing I have participated with was the Wade Smith Charity Weekend here in Dallas and while there is always a lot going on, every part of it was rewarding. The football camp on Saturday morning this year included a cheer camp. My niece and nephew got involved as participants and they had a BLAST. My sister (their mom) has come with them both years and they look forward to coming back. The end results: helping the foundation to grow in recognition as well as with funding for the various initiatives they have going on. I WISH I could volunteer MORE throughout the year, but my work schedule won't allow it.

Also, I want to add that Wade, his wife Rita, and his mother Sheila are all very personable individuals. Nothing like I expected of an NFL player and his family. My family has met them and grown to love them just as much as I do.

The Wade Smith Foundation is constantly hosting events around Houston for the benefit of children. Reading, Food Drives, and Education are a passion of mine. I am glad that we have the WSF that is actually making a difference in these areas.

The Wade Smith Foundation is truly a great, professional and hard-working organization that takes pride in helping the children and adults of Houston. As a medical professional, I work with many charity organizations and the WSF is by far one of my favorites.
