Worth the visit! Many historic photos of Hispanic activities in Waco during the early years of the development of Waco. The Hispanic community played a very powerful role in the formation of and development of Waco bringing in skilled workers in the areas of construction, agriculture, and contributed significantly to the economic development of the community. This museum opened last year is located within the South Waco Community Center, 2815 Speight Ave. The brainchild of Alice Rodriguez, a Waco City Councilwoman, continues to expand the information and displays regarding the Hispanic history of Waco. This growing and important museum supports and enriches the understanding of the impact of the Hispanic community in Waco and is where new or young Hispanic families can identify more with the community.
