Founded by two talented women, actor/activist Rosario Dawson and founding Executive Director Maria Teresa Kumar, Voto Latino has earned its reputation as a leading American Latino voter advocacy, voter registration and political awareness promoting organization. My experiences with the Voto Latino founders and staff quickly convinced me that these are dedicated, accessible, very capable professionals as devoted to the organization's mission as they are to serving the civic interests of the uniquely diverse and complex spectrum of American communities. As a party-neutral, issues-neutral advocacy organization, Voto Latino promotes the interests of all United States citizens in a healthy and thriving democratic process. In fact, it is this inclusive focus and ethical neutrality that attracted my support in the first place. I started as an observer, became a donor, and will now volunteer to further Voto Latino’s success. A quick review of the Statement of Impact on this page, as well as a visit to their site (plan on being there awhile, the site is really engaging) demonstrate that, as “We the People” face a particularly challenging point in our political history, Voto Latino's very effective efforts on behalf of all of us are more essential than ever. They deserve whatever support you have to offer.

Voto Latino does really important work making sure people get their voting rights recognized. That's a very big deal, considering the some really bad people are working to disenfranchise people.
