Vote America helps make sure that EVERY voter has accurate information so they can be empowered to vote. I have had a very positive experience helping both during 2020 with the voter help line and this year with volunteering to help with data verification for the coming election. This work is necessary. The team is organized and effective. We are lucky to have Vote America!

My experience volunteering for the VoteAmerica Voter Helpline (VHL) in 2020 was excellent and meaningful. I, like millions of people, were incredibly anxious about the outcome of the 2020 election. I was desperate to help out in a meaningful way to prevent the catastrophe of previous elections' turnout issues from repeating itself and being made worse by COVID. I phone banked in my area but it was a lot of time for very little return... and TBH I was "preaching to the choir" in terms of political alignment and voter motivation. Those that picked up the phone were planning to vote and vote for the candidate I was calling on behalf of. In contrast, when I was engaging with people on the VHL, I could tell I was making a direct difference in someone being able to vote or not. I helped educate and point people towards resources they didn't have time to look up themselves. I remembered successes (e.g., a person who didn't know they could vote in person despite having received a mail-in ballot) and reality checks (e.g., a person who missed the deadline to change their poll location having moved to another state), but it all made an impact.

Additionally, I was very impressed about how VoteAmerica leveraged Slack to route text messages to real people instead of bots. This election season already I've received hundreds of texts from bot services asking me for money. If I texted any of them back, I am sure a human would not respond. People are looking for human responses when they have real questions and texting is the easiest, most accessible way. I hope this technology is used again in the future.

I've used VoteAmerica's free tools in 2020 and now again in 2022 and they never disappoint! I'm so thankful for how easy they make it to confirm all the info I need to vote in an election.

VoteAmerica has managed to recognize, inform, encourage and create a group of voters previously neglected by both parties. A non-partisan organization, VoteAmerica has raised the standard of voters in America, driving the 2020 election to an unbelievable record of voters.
I literally cannot wait to see what Debra and her team accomplish next!

I have been consistently impressed with the work of voteamerica in getting people registered and then getting them out to vote. Democracy is so important in our country and the ability to vote is key to preserving that democracy. Voteamerica is always looking for better and more efficient methods of registering people and reminding them to vote whether it is by text messages or billboards. I am pleased and proud to be a supporter of this organization.

VoteAmerica is a lovely nonpartisan organization that works incredibly hard at voter turnout. I enjoyed volunteering in 2020 for their text out the vote program. The team was incredibly passionate, organized, fun, and approachable. I would definitely volunteer with them again if the opportunity came up.

I got so much out of volunteering with VoteAmerica during the 2020 election cycle. It was so meaningful to help voters understand how to get registered and to cure ballots, ensuring folks' votes were properly counted.

I volunteered with VoteAmerica during the 2020 Election. I was able to work around the schedule of my day job, had a variety of ways I was able to support and truly felt like I was a part of the team. Honestly, I think knowing this organization was making such a sizable and tangible impact got me through a very stressful year.

I am so impressed with this organization! The concept of getting everyone registered is incredibly ambitious. Their easy-to-use site to check voter registration is user friendly. Recently, they had a talk night with Eric Holder that was phenomenal. Also,I can speak to all of my friends about it because it’s nonpartisan.

Had the amazing opportunity to volunteer directly with Debra Cleaver and VoteAmerica.org on several fundraising and voter awareness campaigns over the past few years. It was a very educational and insightful experience.

I volunteered with VoteAmerica in 2020 for their P2P (peer-to-peer) text out the vote program. Everyone at the organization was tremendously helpful, engaging, thoughtful, friendly, passionate, and driven. Even though they had a relatively small team, I can't imagine working with or for a better organization.
