Causes: Centers to Support the Independence of Specific Populations, Human Services
Mission: The mission of Volunteers of America of Minnesota is provide opportunities which will make a significant, lasting impact in the lives of our program participants, and to elicit community support for our program participants. We pursue this mission by empowering our program participants with the motivation, education, support and competencies necessary for age- and disability- appropriate independence and self-reliance. We strengthen communities by fostering within them the readiness to support their citizens in achieving this independence and self-reliance.
Programs: Our Childrens and Families programs support improved family functioning so that children, adolescents and their families can lead successful lives in their homes and communities. These programs include both residential and community-based services for children with emotional and behavioral issues and their families such as mental health services, residential treatment, case management, and foster care, as well as respite services for families of children with disabilities.
