Mission: Volunteer Regional Food Pantry, founded in 1995, grew out of a need to feed the increasing number of hungry families in the community. Volunteer Regional Food Pantry board of directors, warehouse staff, and workers are entirely composed of volunteers, most of whom are also recipients of assistance. Volunteer Regional Food Pantry bolsters not only the mission of feeding the hungry but also a sense of community; neighbor helping neighbor. Additionally, a great deal of effort is directed to educating the clientele about preparation of nutritional and cost effective meals as well as providing pertinent information concerning other assistance programs available.
