Results: Since our inception four years ago, Voices has served more than 3,000 young people who have faced the deep wounds from a crisis of parenting. Last year alone, Voices served 1,192 children and recruited and trained 300 volunteer Guardians ad Litem through our innovative programs:
• Provided financial resources to 245 children’s individual health, educational, and social needs
• Distributed food and gift cards to 123 children through our School Break Food Program
• Hosted three Dream BIG Days –
~ Back to School Health and Wellness Fair to provide 250 children with backpacks filled with all the first day
essentials,
~ Holiday Angel Wishes Tree to fulfill 501 Holiday wishes, and
~ A Dream BIG Day at the Museum of Discovery of Science for 73 children
• Recruited and trained 300 volunteer Guardians ad Litem.
Target demographics: ensure that every abused, neglected and abandoned child in Broward County has a court-appointed Guardian ad Litem and that financial resources are available for each child’s accompanying health, educational, and social needs
