The dedication and commitment that the founders have is second to none. They always put animals well-being first. When my dad found two stray dogs and asked for my help to rehome them, I asked Voice for the Needy for help and they agreed to pay for the transportation costs to bring them to safety, no matter what. The two dogs are now living happy lives in LA and this couldn’t have been possible without this non-profit.

Dana is the founder of this non-profit and there’s nothing she wouldn’t do to save animals. Her dedication to the cause is absolute and she is always ready to help animals in need. I recently rescued two dogs from a bad situation of animal neglect and when I asked for her help paying for their medical bills and helping to transfer them to a different location for adoption she did it wholeheartedly. Voice for the Needy INC is an NGO that truly fights for the rights and welfare of the animals and rescuers in need.
I was very impressed with all the support, transparency and dedication i received from this NGO to achieve a nobil goal - to raise money for a shelter with 400 animals from Romania (Paws League Shelter), in desperate need to make the annual immunization for these souls.

Another situation when help offered by Voice for the needy saved a life. We rescue an carpathian shepherd, Bella that was cached in a fox trap, and was found in deplorable condition with a wire in her leg, the infection was close to the bone. Thanks to Voice For The Needy we were able to survive, feed and take care of our sanctuary animals. This charity, Voice For The Needy helped me two months ago, when I had a little cat diagnosed with panleokopenia virus. The costs were too big for me, and they were getting bigger.. fortunately for me, a very nice woman, Dana Popes, helped me paying the bills at the vet, and then si told me I can create a fundraiser. The little cat died, unfortunately, but at least I tried everything and I had the support of this charity wich I'm thankful to. Now, I'm trying to raise money through this charity, in order to help 5 puppies and their mother, saved in the last moment from death.
Since I met “Voice for the Needy” my love for animals grew stronger and stronger, therefore I am deeply grateful for all their tieless volunteering work.

We have been working with Voice For The Needy for almost 3 years and I can only say that they are like no other.
They go above and beyond not to just raise funds for different rescues, but they also take the time to teach people about processes, they share tips & tricks on how to have a succesful fundraiser, how to create connections and ask for help.
The processes are transparent and client friendly - done to ease the work of a rescuer, not to just add more activities or stress.
Whenever I have questions I know that answers will follow clear and simple.
All in all they are doing a great job for us, while working on their own development and bringing in new ideas.
Because of them I have now started to work on my own rehabilitation center - a place to call home while we "rescue-rehab-rehome".

I am part of a small organisation who rescues animals in Romania. As we are small and do not have many connection created yet, our "voice" is not so much heard and help seldom received.
Voice of the Needy has been our voice and offered help and support when we needed it the most. We had a big case - important situation - in which 7 dogs of ours have been given the chance to move into a foster in a foreign country, but for which we had to pay travel costs. The amount was about 1400 USD and we had no power to raise that much, but Voice of the Needy stepped in and created a fundraiser for us. We have managed in less than a month to raise the funds and now our dogs are being tested and prepared for their departure.
We would have not succeed without them and in an environment were people help only if they know you personally, receiving help from so far away meant a lot. I truly hope that they will be able to continue to help rescuers in Romania and all over the world were they can, as their involvement is much appreciated and well received.
We in return hope to one day be able to return the "favor" and assist by helping others. Until than we are open to offering localy our time and our volunteering hours.

• Transparency & reliability: At all times, Voice for the Needy Inc. is offering a complete and clear insight of each fund-raising project to both beneficiaries and donors. Transparent and accurate reports and transactions are provided and executed with clockwork regularity, enabling us to efficiently manage cash flows and adjust our strategies accordingly.
• Efficiency: and their work has results! For Nima Sanctuary, in particular, the work and support provided by Voice for the Needy Inc. secures the significant, main source of funding, no less than 77% of all funding the sanctuary gets (other funding sources being donations, sponsorship, events, charity shop sales, etc).
Voice for the Needy Inc. provides a highly valued and necessary work, all in a field (animal rescue & welfare) and region (Romania – Eastern Europe) which still lacks governmental support and policies and effective law enforcement and which depends 100% on private and non-governmental efforts. During the summer of 2016 I was desperately trying to promote an online petition through which myself and my associates were asking the local authorities to maintain a local council decision which was vital for the dog shelter in our city. This decision was allowing people to long distance adopt our dogs and keep the shelter functioning properly.
In this context I contacted Daniela purely by chance and asked her to sign and share the petition. To my surprise, Daniela not only signed and shared but also helped me rewrite and promote the petition. So thanks to her we managed to triple the number of signatures in a mere 2 weeks (compare that with 3 months of painstaking sharing and begging the public to sign)
Later on I found out that Daniela is the founder of Voice For The Needy and through her association she not only helped our shelter stay in business, but she created a beautiful website and streamlined our long distance adoption process. She helped us increase the number of long distance adopters and thus we were able to save more dogs. She also provides printed materials and event promotion for all our adoption events.
I thank God everyday that He put Daniela in my "online" path.

I have known Daniela Popescu the founder of Voice for the Needy for 2years and she is compassion driven with a great deal of intelligence and hard work. I have a Rommi rescue dog who was found by the side of a busy road with his tail cut,an ear cut off,a burnt nose and one of his back legs had been fractured which healed in a wonky fashion as no one had helped him. I have asked Daniela if she could help in someway (not necessarily donations) the lady who rescued my dog. She kindly toiled away and produced a wonderful website for Georgiana Neagu the rescuer. Voice for the needy helped us when no one else would. They build us a very very cool website and keep its maintanace, they continously help with making calendars for us, giving us feedback and even moral support which we desperately need. I am so glad to know such devoted people and know they are fighting for the animals that need help. Whenever I think about them I have the feeling of safety and secure... Like we are never alone in the fight to change the world for abandoned dogs and cats. And this feeling is priceless
Voice For The Needy has helped me get my beloved (ex)stray dog Lilu, after saving her from the mean streets of Bucharest. They brought her here and have been a tremendous help ever since! We adopted our tuxedo cat from Voice For The Needy in 2014. While Voice For The Needy is not a shelter, they brought a few cats and dogs from Romania and found awesome homes and families for them. Our Silvester is one of the lucky ones and he gets to make our life wonderful every day.
Besides bringing pets from Romania, which is one of the worst countries when it comes to how stray animals are being treated (if I’m not mistaken it is the 8th cruelest country against stray animals), Voice For The Needy works with local rescuers and helps them promote their work and educate the population to become more compassionate toward animals. Thank you Voice For The Needy for empowering the few good people who choose to do right by the homeless animals of Romania.
Voice For The Needy helped me adopt 3 homeless Romanian dogs, and in addition, I fostered 3 other homeless pups and found them wonderful homes in the USA. Without their help, those dogs would not have made the long flight here to new homes. I enjoy and learn from their posts, and the site has wnlightebed me and opened my eyes to the plight of animals in need. I was looking for a way to help and this nonprofit helped me to get involved.
