Mission: Visiting nurse and hospice care of santa barbara provides home health and hospice services to patients in santa barbara and the surrounding area.
Programs: The home health program combines the newest advances in technology in the provision of home health services (nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech-language pathology, medical social work and home health aide services) and traditional compassionate care to enhance a patient's health, independence and quality of life.
hospice care is tailored to the needs of people who face a life-limiting illness, offering comfort and quality of life when medical treatment can no longer offer a cure. The care is family-centered and takes place in a patient's home.
serenity house is an 18-bed residential facility that provides the same care as hospice in a residential facility instead of the patient's home.
the agency's community benefit programs, which are supported through the foundation, include medical equipment, palliative care, music therapy, disease management, integrated therapies, homemaker assistance, pet therapy and community education. These programs are provided at no cost to eligible participants.
