I have been involved with Vita Education Services in one way or another for years, mostly as a volunteer. Right now, I am simply a donor. Why I have continued to support them is that their staff is the most dedicated staff you can imagine, working on salaries that are below average, trying to maximize the real working value of every dollar donated in behalf of the clients served. This organization has utmost integrity and commitment to its mission. Both the Literacy and Decision Making Programs have immeasurable value both to the individuals served and the community. Programs: Literacy: vita delivers literacy programs using both paid instructors and trained volunteers. Current programs are adult basic education, ged preparation, family literacy, distance learning, english as a second language (esl), and esl civics.
decisions: vita delivers its copyrighted decision-making programs using both paid facilitators and trained volunteers in the county jail. Current programs include decisions for living, decisions for a better life, and jobs readiness.
