Mission: To provide a comprehensive program of home health and hospice care for residents of indiana county and surrounding areas.

Programs: Provided 40,104 professional and paraprofessional visits to 2,400 patients in their homes. 000143000 free and low-income fee amounts were provided to patients with no insurance. After nominal fees were charged, the costs of acceptance and care of underinsured patients was 252,000. Under an arrangement with a local university, a community college, and a technical school, vna staff provided over 3,500 hours of uncompensated registered nurse oversight and training to b. S. N. , associate degree, and l. P. N. Nursing students. Costs of volunteer programs to support bereaved families were 66,078. Costs of volunteer programs to provide supportive services to the elderly 12,903.

278 unduplicated hospice program patients and bereavement families received services and were provided with 9,194 visits. In addition, 32 hospice volunteers provided 802 hours of service. The use of hospice volunteers resulted in an estimated savings to the hospice program of over 17,000.
