I have volunteered with this organization for 10 years as an active member and for a few years in a support roll. I have also sent foster children to the camp.
The mandatory training I received through them as a camp volunteer, in my opinion, was better than what I received through DHS as a foster parent. It was more thorough with more practical applications, and having a Christian foundation.
My first year volunteering, I was wondering if they were capable of handling the way hurting and abused children tend to act out. Any doubt was quickly swept away as I saw the love, grace, and care they extended to and showed these children. They are more than capable. The teaching about Jesus that they give the children shows where this capability comes from. Each child is treated with respect as they learn to cast their cares aside and just have fun.
“ And my soul shall rejoice in the LORD; It shall exalt in His salvation.” - Psalm 35:9
The vision of Champ Life is truly so beautiful! It is evident by all that they do how much they love God and children. I have volunteered at the camp and on Monday nights kids club and this organization truly loves these kids without conditions. It doesn’t matter how good or bad they behave…they are loved nonetheless. Champ Life is a beautiful, real-life example to these kids of how our Heavenly Father loves us. Not because we are good enough to be loved, but because God IS love.
I first learned about Vision Hope through a local non-profit organization I joined some years ago. Last year we were invited to visit the camp and it was then that I fully understood what the experience meant to the children who attended. It was evident that the volunteers were totally committed to instill a sense of worth and understanding in the children who had been through so much trauma in their young lives. The one-on-one experience gave each child a consistent and immediate source of support as they came to realize that they are important, and someone really cares about them and their future. I attended the recent gala where I learned more about the organization and its directors who shared their experiences and reasons for involvement. I am proud to support Vision Hope/Champ Life in their mission to demonstrate care, compassion and hope through an immersive camp experience.
Our organization has volunteered to Champ Life for nearly a decade and it is one of the most rewarding experiences that we do each year. The entire staff is a blessing to so many kids, keep up your amazing work. God Bless!!
Volunteering at Champ Camp is one of the greatest privileges of my life. You can see the transformation true love can bring to a kids life. So grateful to be a part!

VIsion Hope and Champions For Life Kids' Camp is the real deal. I am currently in direct contact with a few of the kids that have graduated from camp and they are successfully pursuing a life of purpose and have a deep desire to come back to the camp to help other kids. Vision Hope changes lives for the better and their influence goes way beyond the weeks at camp.
Vision Hope is an incredible charity that raises funds for Champ Life Camp for which I have volunteered for 15 years. The camp brings volunteers & directors together in unity to impact the lives of hurting, neglected children. They offer hope, healing and purpose to the campers as the unconditional love of God flows through them. In just one week these children are impacted so deeply that the course of their lives can be completely transformed. Many campers have even later returned as volunteers to give back what was poured into them.
The Champ Life Kids Club which Vision Hope also supports provides a weekly experience of the same goal of the Camp - to help children develop and walk in their God given destiny as they experience and grow in Him.
The joy, happiness and peace brought to the children through both the Camp and Kids Club is powerful and priceless! This is truly an organization so worthy of support!
I have been a part of this camp for 13 years. Champ Life is incredible and has changed so many kid’s lives! I have personally seen so many kids loved on and their countenance changed by the end of camp. This camp has not only been transformative for the kids, but it’s also changed my life in so many different ways! I am so thankful for this camp!
I have served in Champ Life for 7 years now and I still look forward to the week of camp ALL YEAR LONG. Serving at weekly kids club is rewarding and life giving in many ways. Kids desperate for love and attention will look for it anywhere and everywhere, Champ Life is a beautiful way to redirect the love and attention to Jesus.
I have been a volunteer at Champ Life Kids Camp for 10 years and I look forward to it every summer! As a teacher, I have even had some of my students come through the camp and I have seen the profound, life changing impact it has had on their lives. This camp is a blessing for the volunteers as well as the kids and I am so thankful for the directors that pray for all of us all year long!
I have had the privilege of serving these at risk kids for 3 years and it is amazing the impact Champ Life is having on these children. The work they do is truly transformative.
After 20 years volunteering and working for this Charity, I can not speak more highly of the awesome things they do to help underserved children in local communities here in Michigan!

Life-changing, life-shaping, life-giving. A community of people from multiple different perspectives all functioning with the same mission. CFL Kids' Camp is an experience I discuss with everyone I know.
Vision Hope raises fund to send children, who have been abandoned, abused or neglected, to camp for 1 week. This wonderful camp, Champions for Life, has poured love into these kids for the past 17 years. I have volunteered at this camp for the past 16 years, and have seen for myself, the transformation that takes place.
I look forward to volunteering once again next year. ❤️
I started out as a financial donor. But after hearing the stories of the effectiveness of their first camp, I quickly jumped all in to volunteer at the camps also. I have seen first hand the hearts of the directors and volunteers to impact the hurting lives of the children who attend with God’s healing love. All week they receive nonstop encouragement, fun filled days, and make happy memories to look upon in the years to come. Vision Hope’s CFL Kids Camp is life changing for both the children and those of us fortunate enough to help out along the way. I am still all in as a donor and volunteer all these years.
Through this organization, I have been able to help change the lives of hundreds of children in the foster care system. I’ve watched kids let go of pain they’ve held their whole lives and be restored to health. I’ve watched them be loved in ways they’ve never been loved. I’ve watched children who have never been told they are special, be raised to the status of kings and queens. Vision Hope is actively changing the lives of the forgotten children.
This is a great nonprofit organization they help foster kids have a wonderful couple weeks at camp. The kids have fun, learn the love of God and get to leave with hope, get healing, learn about forgiving and start their relationship with God all in a week. Vision hope works hard to provide the finances for all this to take place. I’ve even experienced the love of God, the healing, forgiveness and unity of God’s people as we love of these kids. Excited to see what God has next through vision hope and champions for life.
I was a camper at CFL for many years. Everything they offered helped me in a multitude of ways. Even years later I think back to how they helped me heal and move forward in life. This organization does so many amazing things and everyone involved is 100% dedicated to the cause.
This organization helps children that are abused, neglected. They need happiness in their lives & #CFL supplies that to these kids
Amazing experience. You get to see the healing process of so many youth, who come broken and leave touched and transformed by the love of caring godly people that poured the best of them to bless these kids .. beautiful and life changing experience !
Vision hope is an amazing organization! The CFL camp is doing amazing things and they are such a blessing to so many people!
I have volunteered for this camp for years and I have seen what an impact it has had on these kids. Not only do they get to experience super fun activities, but they also learn how to heal from the hardships that have been dealt them at such a young age. This camp is impactful and important and I feel so blessed to be apart of it.
Love CFL! Started with this camp almost 18 years ago and would not be who I am today without their vision. A beautiful foster care camp who has impacted so many children and adults!
I have been a camp buddy for 14 years. I became a foster parent partly because of CFL. I have had 12 foster children. One of my children were fortunate enough to go to CFL and still talks about it. They have touched so many life’s and these children just love the camp and what it stands for. The kids say CFL Rocks
Every dollar donated directly goes to help neglected, abused and forgotten children. I have been up to the camp several years now and each year children come in one way and leave a different way. This camp changes kids lives and the memories stay with them for life!!
I’m so thankful that Vision Hope provides the funds to have Champions For Life Kids Camp every summer! Children from my local community who have been abused, neglected, or abandoned now have an amazing summer program to attend and be offered healing and hope! I’ve personally volunteered and seen first hand how impactful this program is. Hope for the future can change a child’s life who has been so hurt already at such a young age. And with this charity, hope has and will continue to be offered every summer to impact children right before our eyes.
I have been a volunteer for Champions For Life Camp for Five years and come from Florida to be part of this camp. We will again bring a team from our church this July to this camp. This camp is MY HEART just as children are. I was in foster care as a child and this is my way of giving back. Before I went to CFL I didn't understand how this camp worked, until I saw and felt it for myself. In just a few short days, these kids that come to this camp, are touched, as well as the adults. It brings me healing also just by being a part of this camp. What this camp does and the lives it touches is truly a God thing, a touch from God. God is at this camp and in the hearts of the leaders, the staff, and the volunteers. I could write a book on the experiences I have had in the five years I have been a part of this.
I have many stories I could tell you, but what is the most important is this…. Vision HOPE has taken on the mission of helping abused, abandoned, and neglected children in our communities who can’t help themselves . They use the tool of Champions for Life Kids’ Camp as a way to give hope and a process for healing. Over 10 years ago, after volunteering at my very first week of camp ever, the director asked me what I thought. Though thoroughly exhausted, my exact words were “you have me – hook ~ line ~ and sinker!” It is that effective!!! I have happily volunteered for Vision Hope's Champions for Life Kids' Camp for over 10 years now because I have seen firsthand the difference in these hurting children’s lives as a result of just spending 1 week at camp. I am honored to volunteer my time and also financially donate to such an effective and worthy charity.
I have worked with Vision Hope doing the Champions for Life Kids Camp for 8 years and have seen the lives of children and adults transformed!! This year I was privileged to meet an awesome young woman who attended the camp as a child and after 14 years in the foster care system said " my best childhood memories were things at CFL camp. Like the mud slide and the polar bear swim!!" Keep making a difference in Michigan!
I have been a volunteer involved with Vision Hope as a staff member of Champions For Life Kids Camp for years. This is the most HANDS ON non-profts I have ever been a part of. They change the lives of children who have been abused, abandoned and neglected in our very own backyard. They are making such a difference in our community and it's such an honor to be able to serve along side them.
