Mission:
The mission of Virginia Supportive Housing is to provide permanent housing and comprehensive support services to individuals and families who are homeless or who have special needs in order to promote their transition from homelessness to independence.

Programs: Permanent supportive housing: virginia supportive housing ("vsh" or the "agency") owns, operates and manages eighteen residential properties in central and eastern virginia. These buildings contain 463 units and are rented to either qualifying, low-income individuals or persons who have previously been homeless. To meet the needs of its residents, the agency employs a support staff of 18 people. The social workers and case management staff provide the care and support to foster stability, wellness, recovery and independence of the residents. During 2014, a total of 413 formerly homeless individuals were housed and served in the properties owned by vsh. In 2014, more than 95% of the clients served by the permanent supportive housing program did not return to homelessness.
