Nonprofit Overview
Mission: The Corporation is formed for the charitable purpose of providing holistic assistance to families whose member(s) is/are fighting the battle of lung cancer and other debilitating diseases by providing both spiritual as well as financial assistance for food and shelter during the time the family member is hospitalized or going through medical treatments. The corporation will seek to make certain that the temporal needs of the family is met by providing mentoring and assistance in identifying agencies that may meet a particular need.
Target demographics: Virginia D. Rainey Moore Fighting Lung Cancer Inc. will work to help pave ways to roads that level the educational playing field and lead our children from poverty to prosperity.
Direct beneficiaries per year: 200 Children , 51 Families
Geographic areas served: The name of the Corporation is “Virginia D. Moore-Rainey Fighting Lung Cancer Inc.” The principal office of the Virginia D. Moore-Rainey Fighting Lung Cancer Inc. (herein referred to as “Corporation”) shall be located in the City of Buffalo, County of Erie, and State of New York. The Corporation shall also have offices at such other places, within the State of New York, as the Board of Directors may deem necessary.
Programs: Hoops For Health, Arts & Crafts, Mentoring and Feed A Family also, we have adopted a family for Christmas Holiday. Hosted school supply giveaways, and have served Easter and Thanksgiving Dinner at Women & Children’s Hospital Oncology and Hematology Unit to the patients, their families and staff.
