Mission: The focus of the dominion trail elementary pta is to bring the voices of the parents and school staff together in an effort to best identify how our students education can be enhanced. We strive to augment the quality education provided by dtes staff through fun and educational activities, supplies and equipment purchases, and volunteering. Through our fundraising efforts and donations from our generous supporters, we are able to provide many programs and purchases that dtes would otherwise have to do without.
Programs: Dominion trail elementary pta was able to purchase agendas for grades 2-5 and classroom books and teaching materials (including $100 stipends for all classroom teachers, ell staff, reading department staff, music teachers, and sped teachers). We were also able to provide the following: cultural arts programs, loudoun county regional math tournament, field trips for grades k-5, endless hours of in-school volunteering, international night, dare t-shirts for all 5th graders, welcome t-shirts for all kindergart- ners, reading month and summer reading challenge support, staff appreciation week, fun activities such as bingo, holiday shoppe, talent show, husky 5k/1m run, golf tournament, 5th grade carnival support, and a fall dance, and completely free events such as movie nights, end of the year party, spaghetti dinners, and support for donuts with mom and with dad. The pta also offered grants for teachers.
