Mission: VillageSteps understands that education is the cornerstone to enabling all children to hold the promise of a brighter future and propel the most impoverished communities out of the debilitating effects of socioeconomic hardship. However, enabling development through education first requires a foundation of all the core development pillars to be in place within a community such as sustainable food, housing, and economic opportunity. In our efforts to raise communities through education, VillageSteps is partnering with successful organizations to orchestrate delivery of these basic, yet essential components so that children, women and the larger community can focus on empowerment through education. By 2010, VillageSteps intends to have 10,000 children in school. Join us as we change the world, one child at a time.
