We absolutly LOVE working with Villagers for Veterans, Inc.

We Salute them with a 5 STAR Rating
This AMAZING organization recenly hosted a Woman's Veterans retreat weekend of which I was able to attend. The President Maria and VP Kathryn did a superb job from the moment we arrived on Friday till we departed on Sunday. You are a tremendous organization that cares for Veterans and Ashley's Cottage is proof of their good works. THANK YOU
Marie Bogdonoff and the nonprofit Villagers for Veterans are synonymous. Her commitment and energy have inspired a legion of volunteers who continue to work tirelessly to raise the consciousness of potential donors to the many causes and services provided to Florida veterans from their donations. Under Marie's leadership and persistence, these volunteers and donors sponsor myriad events---bingo games, dinner dances, concerts and musical and stage productions and merchants rewards programs ---all of which have raised thousands of dollars for veterans services. Examples of these services include the purchase and training of service dogs, transitional social services, food pantries and even a transitional residence for women veterans.
A recently women veterans gathered together to learn about resources, share our stories and support each other. This organization sponsored this productive and informative three day workshop! I came away feeling empowered, valued, appreciated and with a rekindled sisterhood that I have been missing for years! Thank you so much for all you do and for bringing us together!
I've been amazed what the president and founder has created in the past 9 years for Veterans in our community and surrounding areas, and even out of state. Marie is not a veteran, but she decided to make this her retirement passion; giving back to Veterans in Need, and honoring their service and sacrifice to our country. From her different programs Mobility and Independence, Veterans in Need, sponsor Service Dogs, and our women veteran New Beginnings Progam; gets homeless women veterans of the street in this transition style home called Ashkeys Cottage.
I'm honored to be working beside her, as her VP and as a combat Woman veteran helping to give back.

I am honored to be a part of this wonderful organization. The Villagers for Veterans is one of the most philanthropic groups I have ever been a part of. There are so many things they have done for our Veterans including building several transitional homes for female veterans having difficulty acclimating to civilian life. There truly aren’t enough accolades that can be said about them.
Outstanding work to help the VETS in The Villages, Florida. 100% of the money goes right back to the VETS. The board works diligently to make sure the events hosted are viable and fiscally sound. Volunteers man the events and the Villagers for Vets Club meet once a month at Lake Miona. Marie Bogdonoff founded and remains President of this Club. She is an inspiration to all who know her!
This is an outstanding organization! I came to Florida with my family to visit with family, and during my visit here I had a traumatic thing happen and I was given Marie's number (CEO) of Villager's for Veterans and told her what was going on and I ended up having to move to Florida with nothing but the clothes and stuff we had in the car. We lost the apartment we had on hold along with other things. Villager's for Veterans has really been there for not only my family but other Veterans as well in their time of need and everyone who I have met along the way that are apart of this organization really make you feel like a part of them. They are an amazing group! Thank you Marie and ALL Villager's for Veterans members for really being there for Veterans!!!! My family is greatful to you All. Thank you for all you do!
When I first learned of Villages For Veterans, I was intrigued by the loyalty of the small group of volunteers. I knew I had found the organization that I wanted to be part of. I had always thought it was possible to make a real difference with the right goals and people.
I was right. Marie, our founder and leader, has gathered dedicated and enthusiastic volunteers. With such wonderful support, I have seen a real change in the Veterans we have helped by providing track chairs for mobility and independence, service dogs for Veterans in need of emotional support, emergency financial aid for a Veteran in need, raising enough money to build a smart home for a quadriplegic Veteran.
I believe it is obvious we are doing the right things for our Veterans, but just as important, we are also bringing awareness to our community that it is possible to make a difference.
My first experience with Villagers for Veterans (V4V) was a fund raiser for a Marine who had stepped on an IED and lost all four limbs. Despite the severity of his injuries, he was upbeat and had just received a double arm transplant.
I went to a monthly meeting to learn about the organization and saw a video of another veteran who was contemplating suicide but was saved when he was given a service dog. These two events were emotional and and moved me to want to help make a difference in some lives.
I am now a proud volunteer with Villages for Veterans, contributing time and talent to raise money and and awareness to help severely disabled vets help regain their sense of worth and independence. Our dedicated Founder, Marie Bogdonoff, has put together a dynamic all-volunteer team. We have raised funds for suicide prevention, sponsored service dogs, donated track chairs.
Villages for Veterans is helping veterans who have defended our country and have incurred both physical, emotional and sometimes financial losses. Our veterans deserve our support.
Everyday we hear people address our Veterans with these words, “thank you for your service”. It’s not everyday that we find organizations like The Villages for Veterans that put their words to action showing our veterans gratitude by providing them with the support they need. We are proud members!
