Vfi's gec is an unique, 100 acre farm in southern laos, with small animal raising areas, green houses, mushroom houses, organic compost, orchards, fish ponds, a tree nursery, and a food processing facility. Gec also has a training area (meeting rooms, dorms, a staff house, an information center, etc. )
I really like VFI because they make all of their impact based on locals leaders, rather than a large, expensive office with highly-paid expat staff in the US (or another country). My support to them has lead to several local schools being built but I'm aware that they are a country leader in land rights and in the fight against human trafficking.
