Programs: Health program - the vietnamese social services of minnesota provides a variety of health services to refugees and immigrants that face the risk of poor health due to language barriers, economic factors, inexperience with american culture and limited access to mainstreem health facilities. Services include health classes, health literature, assistance in accessing health insurance and mental health and social adjustment.
self-sufficiency program - the vietnamese social services of minnesota helps fefugees and immigrants prepare for, and get the jobs they need to support themselves and their families. The self-sufficiency program offers several basic employment services including job search assistance, resume and application assistance, job orientation and training and job coaching and follow-up. In addition, the program has close working relationships with several employers that offer excellent wages and benefits.
english learning program - the vietnamese social services of minnesota provides english as a second language (esl)classes to refugees and immigrants five days a week. The esl classes are tailored to fit individual needs and can accommodate individuals with various skill levels including those who know no english, as well as those that possess basic english skills and would like to become more fluent.
