I have had a very long history with VIBS and for nearly forty years it was an exemplary agency offering highly professional services and having an outstanding reputation in the community. Unfortunately the recent change in Executive Director has severely damaged the reputation and professionalism of this organization. The current ED is an abusive and threatening individual. Staff are treated horribly. Staffing changes have reduced the number of Trauma trained, experienced clinicians and replaced them with newly graduated clinicians with no experienced clinicians to train them, thus the quality of the services has declined.
Why anyone would hire an Executive Director with such a sorted work history is beyond me.
It is disgraceful that this outstanding agency is being reduced to rubble by one person. I have never seen someone who lies so easily and often, starts rumors and badmouths staff to other staff members on a regular basis.Shameful! Don't be fooled by this pathological liar.

I would never recommend for anyone to attend or work for VIBS. The upper management are extremely unprofessional. They are very phony and act like they care about your problems when in all actuality, they don't. They are extremely unprofessional and are more focused on things like politics and "people who align with VIBS"; when they don't even align with VIBS. All of the negative comments I had read are unfortunately true. They do not stand by their mission statement and should focus on treating individuals better. After all, they are an organization based on helping others grow, heal, work through their struggles, prevention etc. However, for them it is complete opposite. It is disappointing to see how highly they talk about their organization when they treat individuals so horrible and unfair that even complete strangers and dozens of people have the same views as I do. Check for yourself on Glassdoor etc. before considering this organization as a good match for you. There are plenty of genuine organizations out there!
