I have been involved with Vibha from last 3-4 years, mostly by participating in their fun events in bay-area. I must say that it's a very well run organization with dedicated volunteers. I am confident that it will grow leaps and bounds in coming years and make a difference for millions of kids.
Review from Guidestar
Vibha Rocks.. Vibha is a great non profit organization. The dedication of the volunteers speak for itself.. The low expenses and high charitable funds for the children makes donating to this organization worthwhile
I have been amazed at the dedication and the passion of Vibha's volunteers. These folks go far beyond the call of duty, spend their evenings and weekends towards the cause. This is true altruism.
I interpret Vibha's mission as Educate, Empower and Enable every child to realize his or her potential - extending the gift of opportunity that most of us take for granted. I have volunteered with Vibha for 6 years now, and what I find most amazing is the relentless passion of the volunteer team, year over year, towards attaining the goal. The grassroots nature and low overhead/administration cost makes each contribution more valuable. Thorough evaluation of projects that Vibha sponsors assures me that our contributions will be used as efficiently as possible. I love Vibha, the goal, the team and am proud to be a volunteer.
I had the pleasure of volunteering for Vibha in a kids activity booth. This was the first time I did volunteer and I found out more good things about the organization and its values and work. I felt immensely satisfied.
I was a participant in Vibha’s Dream Mile Run 2009. I must confess that the volunteers seem like an extremely dedicated group of individuals and very innovative in kind of events they come up with to raise funds for the less fortunate children back home. Guys! Vibha is lucky to have you as volunteers. Keep up the good work.
Working with Vibha volunteers is really refreshing. The passion each person shows towards the cause, the professionalism shown towards organizing events, the enthusiasm in their efforts to beat their own previous achievements etc are really mind blowing.
Vibha is an organization which helps you play on your strengths to make a difference to the underprivileged children in India. The untiring passion and relentless commitment that each of the members bring to the organization topped with a noteworthy cause is what makes me proud to be associated with it.
Vibha is truly an incredible organization! I have donated to a couple of events and have been thoroughly impressed with the professionalism, integrity and enthusiasm of the volunteers and leaders. What this organization is doing to help the underprivileged is genuine and self-less...two very important qualities that build a unique and successful non-profit organization! Well done and God bless!
I have volunteered with a few non-profits but volunteering with Vibha always gave me the most satisfaction. They have a very professional approach in everything they do. Their project selection as well as monitoring process is very well defined and highly evolved. They have highly committed and very motivated volunteers who keep the underprivileged children's cause at heart all the time. One very specific, recent example of how Vibha is creating an impact - recently they organized a conference in India where all the grass projects supported by Vibha came under one roof. Best outcome of this effort is that these NGOs had a great dialog about best practices and processes.
I am highly impressed by the dedicated volunteers and their enthusiasm to work for great noble cause. The best part about Vibha is out of total donation, the most part of donation is used for project funding with very less expense on management. Vibha has got very good response through out the USA to being a very good non profit organization. I am proud to be myself as part of VIBHA.
I have been a volunteer at Vibha for the last 2 and a half years. I have been impressed by the discipline at the organization. The volunteers are really motivated, very cause driven. I have been impressed by the projects and the selection procedures for these projects.
I have been volunteering with Vibha since Oct 2006. This is has been very positive experience for me. Dallas has around 15 active volunteers right now. Their dedication and sincerity towards the cause is amazing. One of the best things about Vibha is their low wxpense to revenue ratio of around 90-85%, which means 90 to 85 cents per dollar go to actual project on ground. This means the 10-15% of administrative cost. Vibha currently support around 50+ projects in India. It recently had the project conference in bangalur India where representative from all the project participated. Its was forum for these projects to learn from each others best practices.
I've been a volunteer with the Vibha for about 5 yrs. I've enjoyed working with an excellent team of volunteers, their energy to help out and drive an event to success. Proud to be part of such an excellent team and knowing that whatever small I can do towards this organization, I can also make a difference in the life of less fortunate child.
I have been volunteering with Vibha for more than a year now and it gives me immense pleasure that I am also able to make difference in the life of less fortunate children. The thing that amazes me about Vibha is, it is volunteer run organization. kudos to those volunteers for their dedication. I am proud to be associated with Vibha.
I was an active volunteer years for several years have been an active donor for Vibha organization. It is an excellent oraganization doing great job for the under priviledged children. Great organization to volunteer.
I have been involved with Vibha for the past 3 years and it has been a learning and enriching experience for me. I joined Vibha immediately after graduating from school as I had spare time at my disposal. I was not sure of my commitment when I went for the first meeting. I was given an overview of all the projects handled by my action center at that meeting, and at the end of 2 hours I had signed up to look into a project that had come for review. The 2 months that followed reviewing the project not only gave me an insight about the project in hand, but also about how meticulously and seriously Vibha takes various aspects like mission, focus, sustainability, scalability and of course finances of a project in consideration. Every good and noble idea should be given a chance at the same time making sure that every penny of the donor is accounted for. I interacted with a dedicated and smart bunch of volunteers over this period, who always had innovative ideas for any project, and were knowledgeable about various issues faced by underprivileged children. After that I have been the project lead for two projects in India, AURED (focuses on children suffering from hearing disability) and Ariviyal Anandnam (provides learning aids for children from lower income groups to retain their interest in school). Every monitoring report and project review has re-affirmed my faith in the credibility and effectiveness of Vibha. The program coordinators from the grassroots organizations supported by Vibha have always lauded volunteers for their efforts in ensuring smooth functioning of the project. In the past couple of years, I took up a role as a co-lead for our annual fundraiser which exposed me to the fundraising side of Vibha. Volunteers have exhibited a great deal of professionalism and commitment in coming up with various fundraising programs and ideas, developing marketing materials, applying for grants, and maintaining good patron relations. All action centers work tirelessly for ensuring the success of a Vibha fundraiser event. It is truly motivational to be part of such an organization. I hope I can reach out and contribute more to grassroots organizations through Vibha in the future.
I am volunteering with Vibha for last four years and it give immense pleasure and satisfaction that all the money we raise would go to help the kids, who do not even have access to very basic amenities.
there is a proverb " every cloud has a silver lining". i think vibha has been a silver lining to those kids whom they are nurturing and taking care of. they have always gone out of their way to take of them more than themselves. this team has been the mother and father to them. fulfilled their wishes, respected them and loved them endlessely... you know what i like about vibha is that they are focussed and self motivated and they have so much of love to give to the kids.. its been a wonderful experience with them when i joined in as volunteer. HATS OFF !!! love you guys for what ur dong..ALL THE BEST!!!
I have been volunteering for Vibha for over seven years and have felt truly empowered to make a difference for the cause of underprivileged children. First of all, I found Vibha as very open organization, willing to take on new ideas, new projects, new volunteers at the same time being extremely focused on solving the problem at hand. Vibha takes a lot of effort in not only ensuring that every dollar donated is put to best use, but also works hard to connect the dots by linking the patrons directly with the projects wherever possible as well as connecting the various projects with each other for sharing ideas and best practices.
