Thank you so so so much Viatu Foundation Inc. for your donation of 45 pairs of school shoes and 45 pairs of socks. Words are not enough to express our gratitude. Our kids now have shoes on their feet. They do not have to come to school with crocks and slippers. We thank God for you!
It is a value adding organization that has helped our most vulnerable learners to have a pair of shoes and hence improve and boost their morale .More than 98.9 percent of our learners come from the slums.They live from hand to mouth and can not even afford the basics.
We take having good sturdy shoes for granted, which is not the case for children and young adults in Kenya. Their shoes are often worn out and have holes in them. The Viatu Foundation found a solution by collecting donations and distributing shoes to those who need them. “Viatu” means shoe in Swahili. For a $10 donation a local craftsman in Kenya makes sturdy and beautiful leather shoes which are then distributed. The Foundation benefits the local shoe maker and the children who receive new shoes. I can’t think of a better foundation to support.
If you want to make a donation to somewhere where you know every cent is used , this is the nonprofit I would recommend. I feel confident donating my money to Viatu foundation because they keep you updated on their progress in Africa and share pictures of the success.
This is a wonderful organization that makes sure kids get the proper shoes they need to be able to go school. Kevin is very passionate and makes sure every dollar donated is well spent.
This nonprofit is absolutely amazing! They help children get shoes for school in communities where healthy feet are a concern and shoes are hard to obtain. Kevin, their Founder, and his team truly care about the youth in the communities across Kenya! Viatu Foundation supported our girls at The Angaza Project girls empowerment and each girl received a new pair of school shoes which certainly boosted their confidence and makes sure they have healthy feet. The girls were smiling ear to ear and said how their shoes were falling apart, water would seep into their shoes when it rained and bugs got into their feet sometimes from the mud and environment but Kevin and his team fixed this for them! AMAZING and the families were so thrilled as it was a huge help. Kevin and his team truly care about the health of our girls, giving them confidence and they want to see them succeed in school. Thanks for making sure all of our girls have healthy feet Kevin and Team! We are so grateful for the work you are doing across Kenya in this way.
