Nonprofit Overview

Causes: Military & Veterans Organizations, Veterans

Mission: Veterans for Airsoft is an official 501(c)(3) veteran non-profit organization that provides an active outdoor weekend experience through airsoft and Milsim to the men and women that have served in our military, law enforcement, or first responder agencies. What is Airsoft? Airsoft is a competitive team sport in which participants engage opponents with spherical plastic bb’s launched via replica weapons. Airsoft is commonly compared to paintball, which is a recreational shooting sport similar in concept but with a few differences . What is Milsim? Milsim is an abbreviation of military simulation and refers to armed confrontation scenarios conducted by civilians for entertainment purposes. These scenarios use airsoft as a means to conduct military simulated operations. How exactly does Veterans for Airsoft provide services to Veterans? Veterans for Airsoft encourages vets to get off the couch and get KINETIC! Veterans for Airsoft coordinates your first Milsim experience so you never have to feel like the new guy again. Veterans for Airsoft works with the top airsoft fields & Milsim event producers in the country to provide event tickets and field admission for our program. Veterans for Airsoft provides all the essential equipment needed to participate, gear, ammo, food, water, travel, and lodging. While attending Milsim events, Veterans for Airsoft coordinates a weekend where teamwork, tactics, and military mindset reconnect veterans on a familiar level with an experience that gets them out, active, & engaging in the community! How can I SUPPORT Veterans for Airsoft? Click the DONATE button below or visit our VFA STORE to contribute. Find us in your local community and connect with us. Share with your local Veterans who could use a weekend of fun, outdoors, and excitement. Veterans for Airsoft is currently looking for corporate sponsors and volunteers who would like to give back to the military and veteran community.

I met VFA Inc. back in 2016 at one of the first events I ever attended. I was able to talk with other veterans and find friends who had similar stories and common ground. Life happened and I was unable to link up with them at major events for awhile afterwards. Fast forward to 2021 and I made it to an OP in South Carolina and through the fantastic efforts of VFA Inc and amazing donors, I was able to ride on the side of a helicopter at the event! The experience was phenomenal, but even beyond flying, was the camaraderie and brotherhood you don't find in most organizations. A fellow vet and good friend, was able to go with me and we still talk about it to this day! We have furthered our relationship with VFA to the extent our schedules allow and highly recommend getting in touch with these guys for an awesomely intense experience!!

3 years ago I was in a dark place, trying to find a purpose in life or meaning. Scrolling facebook i saw an ad for vfa a group willing to reach out and get veterans like myself off the couch and out into the field with fellow vets who have been in my shoes. I reached out and within a month I had an ticket to an event, room and board and and food and gear and helicopter rides all paid for. While this was an amazing opportunity in it self it was the brotherhood i found that kept me going back. Vfa is a non for profit organization that helped saved my life 3 years ago and now i attend their events on a regular basis in hopes that i can help vfa save other vets and like minded individuals.

April 2022 I attended my first airsoft/milsim event hosted by this organization (Veterans for Airsoft) with a coworker and fellow Veteran. VFA has an amazing staff and has a very important mission… and thats connecting Veterans to airsoft. Now airsoft is a hobby and it’s a rather fun one but this organization takes it way way beyond that! When this organization promotes connecting Veterans to airsoft they are bringing their brothers and sisters of the Armed Forces in and giving back what they have been missing and for all Veterans who read this know and understand when I say… their extended family. They give everything! What’s everything? They will provide you a free event, gear, and more where they will be hosting or sponsoring just to get a chance to meet you or reconnect with you, to hear your stories and share theirs. They bring back and establish camaraderie… everything that is put into this organization they give back by connecting more Veterans, they host free events to all Veterans who wish to attend, Helicopter rides during events and more. I know it sounds like I’m trying to sell this awesome organization and honestly in ways I am! I’ve been doing airsoft /milsim for a couple years now and this is exactly what I have experienced and what my 2 boys have experienced. They are there for you good times and bad! We all have been places and some have seen things that others haven’t nor would want to see and they are here for you! You’re never alone! This is more than a non profit airsoft/milsim organization… it’s a home!
