I met DR. Terry Morris, DVM, PHD, Vets To Vets Durham, N C., when promoting an event showcasing and featuring women age 50 in a Pageant competition. We were so impressed with what she does and how she gives of herself to making sure that she helps as many Veterans as possible receive the highest quality of life as possible by providing them with a dog that she has trained to provide the most incredible services . FREE OF CHARGE. She has dedicated her life to this mission and her Heart cries whenever the impossible happens. It has made me continue to do whatever I can to support her cause. As a Military Mom- & Grandma I am Thankful for DR. Morris and her dedication.
Sincerely Submitted , Hallie Anderson, President, Hallies Comet Productions

By chance I found this Non-Profit. I was looking for a unique organization to support from my business, Hallies' Comet Productions, INC.
After attending a presentation that Disabled Veterans confirmed that they have a life because of the work Dr. Terry Morris does there was no stopping me from supporting this organization in any way that I can.

Dr. Morris has dedicated her life to this cause without hesitation, and she needs and deserves all of the support she can get.
She does not realize what an Angel she is for so many.

I have been active in Vets to Vets United Inc for the past two years and am amazed at the dedication and enthusiasm of its Director, who has spent the last five years building this non-profit. I have had the opportunity to be with senior citizens/staff who resonate with the 'pups' (as the Director calls them) when we go to their facility, as well as have gone to the Durham VA hospital with vets and their pups. I have also marched in parades in Raleigh and Durham and attended other awareness-raising or fund-raising events. While there I have seen the joy and pride of the veterans with their pups first-hand. This is an awesome organization and I am proud to volunteer with them.

Terry Morris does a wonderful job helping veterans, by pairing them
with a loving dog companion. The training program is individualized;
so if the veteran has special physical needs, the dogs are trained to
help as needed. Also the dogs are pulled from shelters, so she is
often saving a dog's life, as well as improving the veterans' quality of
life.

I heard about Vets To Vets United through another veteran. What's so amazing about this for me is that I have been afraid of dogs since I was 4 y.o. (I'm now 68). Our neighbors had a bull dog (Boxer I think). The neighbors always invited my mom over to get vegetables from their garden. We would go over, get vegetables and then go up to the house to visit a while. This morning the dog that is usually chained to a tree was loose. When we found that out, we started running towards the house, but mom fell, the dog was in her face. Fortunately, another neighbor was there and somehow made the dog go away and mom was alright.

Needless to say, when my son brought this little rescued pup in the house in his hands, I asked him had he lost his mind, because he knew the story about my lifetime fear of dogs. Because I had just heard about Vet's to Vet's, I told him the dog could stay if he was neutered and trained. And as they say, the rest is history.

BJ is my best buddy. He has changed my life and my feelings about dogs. When I'm away from him, I miss him. Because of him, I am now able to speak to and touch other dogs without being terrified. I can't believe it either. My siblings can't believe I have a dog.

I love my BJ. If I was as smart as he is, he would be even more involved in my life. But without Vets to Vets, I would never have had the courage to get this far. Thank you so much for making it possible for me to enrich my life with my friend, BJ.

Vets to vets has helped me in more ways then I can list. Ever since getting my service dog Winston I have reached goals that I never thought I would. In 2014 I broke down mentally and thought about giving up. I asked the VA to help me before I became one of the 22 a day. I got in contact with Terry, and she showed me a dog that was my perfect match. On Aug 17th 2014 I had been approved to take Winston home. Since that day, I went back to school got my BA degree, and now working on my masters degree. Winston has been trained to help me when I am nervous, anxious, frustrated. He has made my life so much easier.

Terry Morris founded Vets To Vets United as a labor of love. She has been an inspiration to both the veterans she serves as well as the volunteers who donate their time to the organization. She finds abandoned dogs who are trainable and pairs them with disabled veterans, then trains them as a veteran/dog team. She provides a much needed service to the men and women who have come back from serving our country with disabilities.....as well as rescuing dogs from life in a shelter, or euthanasia.

War!! Devastates soldiers mind, body and soul with post traumatic stress disorder and in many other ways. In the words of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. "There is a time when silence is betrayal". It seems that our country is not willing to invest the necessary funds and energy on rehabilitating our soldiers as it does on Warmongering and War Profiteering for the great imperial colonial machine. Foreign interventionism is an enemy of our soldiers, country, institutions, and our economy.

Vets to Vets United Inc. has a unique niche market in the area of emotional, and spiritual healing of the mind, body and soul from the war machine that has fragmented our soldiers socio-economic well being.

After dealing with war and a destroyed mind soldiers come home too destroyed families, joblessness, homelessness, depression, lack of appropriate medical care. Yet, the war machine rages on to destroy future generations of our nation.

Martin Luther King Jr. said it best in his Vietnam speech that is relevant for today's wars "Sending men home from dark and bloody battle fields physically handicap and psychologically deranged". Vets to Vets United Inc. has taken on a noble and admirable cause that I have no doubt will grow into a great institution that will now and forever be in the corner of the American Veteran and spill over to the global human family.

Vets to Vets United Inc. Bravo Bravo!!!!

This organization ,although some what understated and below the media radar .is wonderful . It brings unfortunate dogs together with seriously wounded and often traumatized veterans - both underserved groups -together for the benefit of each partner, and for the benefit of the community at large.
And Ms Terry Morris ,DVM,Phd and Vets to Vets Director , is an Angel, whose energy knows no boundaries.
I'm so glad to have met this group!
