I met Rick at our DAV meeting and joined his mission because I truly enjoy helping others, it's God's will that's what Rick is about helping others si why not help bless others.
I'm Big O. My wife Kerry and I host a charity bike night every Thursday and have done so for eight years.
Vets on Track Foundation is on our annual list of charities we support. Rick, Leslie, and their team do amazing things for our nation's heroes. Not only do they support our nation's greatest resource, VOTF consistently supports our other charities ad nauseum. Always giving, always helping.
I am privileged and honored to be a part of the VOTF family. God bless America and God bless our troops.
I've worked as a social worker in the public sector and spent almost 30 years in the USAF. I continue to have a heart for aiding those who are homeless veterans. "Homeless" and "Veteran" should NEVER be in the same sentence much less next to each other. Vets on Track Foundation does something few if any other organizations can. Furnishing a newly-housed veteran's dwelling with beautiful furniture, linens, wall decor, dishes, and often supplies, gives that veteran a HOME s/he can be proud to want to take care of. Many organizations may locate housing for vets but do not furnish. Providing this takes the weight of trying to locate nice things and pay for them OFF the veteran. These furnishings cost the veteran nothing. The gratitude they show once they see what they have can't be defined in words; however, you certainly feel the expressions on that vet's face. Giving a veteran back his/her dignity decreases the likelihood of him/her returning to the streets.
I've known about VoTF for about 18 months and continue to work with them for about 6 months. I couldn't be prouder to be associated with fellow vets and first responders that give back in this manner. I going to do my part to help VoTF grow beyond the Virginia borders.
This is a no nonsense organization that has a direct impact daily to Veterans. They are connected with public support organizations and the VA in order to support veterans in need in real time. Unlike most Veteran Help/Support Organizations, as there seems to be thousands out there.
This organization goes above and beyond to help veterans get reestablished in the community. The work they do helps veterans and their families get the household items needed to be comfortable in their own homes. I have referred veterans to this organization several times and they have always answered the call and provided furniture and delivery at no cost. Great organization!
I learned about this company many years ago and absolutely love what they stand for and what they do for our veterans that are in need. I recently had the opportunity to finally donate large items to help with furnishing homes, and the process was very easy. I sent an email with descriptions of what I had to offer they were able to come out with in a few days and picked everything up. The process of donating was very easy.
Highly recommend this company to donate to as they are helping change lives!

I do believe that everything happens for a reason and the founder of this organization meet in the most unexpected way in a hospital room. My husband being a veteran and a Marine I could not be more impressed with what this organization is trying to do to make a change improvement to the veteran community. This is an organization that all put their entire heart and soul into it!
As a partner with Vets on Track, we have always found them to be responsive, grateful and very appreciative of any and all donations. This team takes great pride in being able to provide any and all assistance available to our valued vets! They are such a pleasure to work with. It is very obvious that they truly enjoy what they are doing every day!
The Vets on Track deserve a huge shout out for what they are doing to provide our vets with an opportunity to have a furnished home to call their own!
This resource has been a tremendous help to our office and assisting homeless Veterans entering housing. It truly helps change the lives of those who are entering housing with just the clothes on their backs. Thank you for all you do!
In my previous job, I was in charge of community service for court-ordered kids. I was always looking for opportunities for them that would widen their scope of community knowledge and help create a love of service in them. Vets on Track always embraced the kids, instead of judging them, and I will always be thankful for that. The people involved with Vets on Track are good people and do good work, going above and beyond to help those in need.
Always willing and ready to help. I have used this company on several occasions and it really made a difference in the people who we helped lives.
My clients has had the best experience. For the client they not onpy receive furniture but service from an organization that cares. The team shows up at the Veterans home with a smile and more. The job is not easy serving others but this organization serve from the heart. I am so excited that our paths have crossed.
We often times take for granted the simpler pleasures of our life, and it is only when we are reminded of how blessed we are can we truly appreciate our current situation in life. It was our fourth delivery of the day when we arrived at a small townhouse in Richmond, Virginia. The Veteran we were supporting had two small children, and when we walked into their home, we quickly realized how little the family had. The only visible possessions the family owned was a single queen-sized mattress and handful of toys the children had collected over the past few years.
It's always a joy to see the faces of the families we serve when we begin to bring in the donated furniture that will turn their modest houses into loving homes. To this family, we delivered couches, dressers, lamps, and a dining room table that the family could now use to eat their meals on instead of on the floor. The highlight of the trip occurred when we brought in pillows to decorate their living room. The eldest, a small boy aged 7, was so excited that he scooped up a pillow, ran bare footed outside, and began to show the pillow to his friends with excitement in his voice.
We often times think that once a veteran gets a house, they are all set to continue their path down life. However, we forget the cost associated with outfitting that home, and the mental and emotional taxation that occurs when a home is empty. An empty home is often a reflection of their current emotion state: fragile, empty, and alone.
The work the vets on track foundation does is more than delivering furniture, it shows veterans that they have worth more than the four corners of their house. It helps to build their confidence, self-esteem, and self-worth.
Rick Ecker and his team are incredible!!!! Over the past several years, I have witnessed Vets on Track Foundation make houses, HOMES!!!
Vet's on Track Foundation team and CEO are amazing! They have helped the veterans of the VBCDC SSVF program numerous times to make their new housing a home by providing furniture. We are ever so thankful and grateful for their partnership and collaboration. The veterans we serve are over joyed to have such care and support:) Thank you Vet's on Track Foundation for helping the homeless veterans in the Hampton Roads area have a place to call home!
This organization is my go-to every single time my clients have items to donate that will support the veterans. They are always responsive and dependable. They go out of their way to make it a win-win experience for everyone. And when we need junk removal services, same thing. We are so pleased to be in partnership with these heroes helping other heroes who have giving their time and service to our country. We all feel good that at the end of the day, everyone has done a good deed and we are helping some people prep their homes for sale while also helping to furnish the homes of our veterans. I can't say enough good things about Rick and his team!
This is a wonderful organization with a devoted volunteer staff. I volunteered often a couple years ago and was blown away by the staff's generosity and sincerity towards those that they served. If I still lived nearby, I would help as much as I can. What they do is not easy (moving a ton of furniture), but they do it so often and never seem to tire.
I volunteered with Vets on Track for over a year and absolutely loved every second I had working with Rick Ecker, his amazing family and the other volunteers. The Foundation’s philosophy, personnel and mission are all top notch. The selflessness of Rick and his family spearhead all that VOTF stand for. By giving back to the community and veterans, VOTF has helped turn countless houses into homes for veterans and their families in need. Thank you to VOTF and Rick Ecker for all that they have done and continue to do.
Great organization! I loved helping the Veterans across the DC, Northern VA area. The smiles of kids during Christmas and giving them a tree was a feeling that I won’t lose. I relocated to Orlando area, but would volunteer in heartbeat again.
I've watched what this amazing organization has done for the homeless veterans from afar, Richard Ecker is an amazing human being. I got to know Rick during his deployment to the great pacific northwest and have been very good friends ever since. His call to service is stronger than anyone I've ever known. I'm thrilled that he is even able to rebuild this organization after the greatest threat to the world in my lifetime. This is the kind of giving back mentality that is so lacking in this day and age. I fully expect that he will, by the force of his presence, serve the heroes that deserve our help so that they can thrive.
Worked as a volunteer for this organization for about a year prior to Covid-19. It was a gratifying experience. The smiles that were heartfelt in seeing the greatful one time homeless veterans have a home once again .
I love being affiliated with Rick and his team. As Mrs. Northern Virginia International 21 and 22 I look forward to rejoining their efforts to continue to assist Veterans and 1st Responders out of homelessness along with Havens 4 Heroes and as a team they not only provide a house but a home with decor furniture and more

Great service, great people using their spare time to volunteer to help those who served that are now in need.
I have been a volunteer with Vets On Track since 2017. Being a part of the VOTF team I have been able to help furnish homes and provide a stable living environment for veterans and their families. Rick (The founder) is the most genuine and kind person I know. He is willing to go out of his way to make sure not only the families that we help can sustain and keep a nice living environment but he is able to ensure that all of the volunteers that help are acknowledged and celebrated. The Vets On Track Foundation has been the most fulfilling organization I have ever been a part of and I would encourage anyone who has the time and resources to join! -JB
Our organization (Team Rubicon) teamed up with Vets on Track to move furniture into the homes of veterans in the Hampton Roads area. Rick and his team were amazing and so enthused to help veterans get back on track or just lend a helping hand. His heart is on fire for Vets!!
I’ve been able to see first hand how awesome this organization is! Furnishing homes for previously homeless veterans and 1st responders directly impacts their lives, our communities and homelessness. Plus, their mission is green by keeping furniture out of landfills!
I called to let them know that we have a few things to donate and we would like it to go to their Foundation as we have military children who currently serve. They got back to me quickly and within 48 were at our door to pick up the donation. They came promptly at the stated time and a group that was ready to work. They were quick and efficient and all were very friendly. We will definitely use them in the future and tell our friends and family.
I volunteer as the treasurer and have never been associated with more caring and dedicated individuals who understand the meaning of service to others.
My family has watch the founders of Vets on Track Foundation work tirelessly for hundreds of our nations veterans. The non-profit is led by Rick Ecker, the most selfless person we know!! Thanks for all you and your family do! The Rayner Family
I have been volunteering for this organization for the past 1 1/2 years. It’s a great organization and seeing the faces of the vets when their empty apartments or houses get turned into a home with furniture, kitchenware and pictures on the walls is the best experience. Giving back and making a difference is what it’s about. If you can volunteer or donate to Vets on Track
