Mission: Vfw mission statement - the purposes of the veterans of foreign wars are fraternal, patriotic, historical and educational; to preserve and strengthen comradeship among it's members; to assist worthy comrades; to perpetuate the memory and history of our dead and to assist their widows and orphans; to maintain true allegiance to the government of the united states of america and fidelity to it's constitution and laws; to foster true patriotism; to maintain and extend teh institutions of american freedoms; and to preserve and defend the uited states from all her enemies, whomsoever.
Programs: Veterans activities:operation of canteen and bar - provided facility for wedding receipts and funeral dinners for vfw members; donated use of the hall for members in need
patriotic activities:free meal provided to participants after veterans day event; funeral details for veterans services; donations to assist needy veterans with medical expenses; donations for kia servicemen; donations for veterans' night at larks park and provided volunteers to assist the va on various matters.
educational activities:donations to local high school project graduation activities and continuation of both the patriot's pen contest theme for students in the 6th to 8th grades and the voice of democracy contest theme for high school students.
