Causes: Military & Veterans Organizations, Veterans
Mission: Veterans First Light is connecting with veterans in Georgia to help ease their mental health burden through a three pillar program of support, advocacy, and empowerment.
Results: The purpose of Veterans First Light is to bridge the gap between current government resources and our veterans, active duty members and their families. We are helping veterans overcome the inherent challenges of military and post-deployment life; helping heroes discover how to reconnect with their communities, and families. In the last year we have supported 159 veterans through our Veteran Support Groups. We hope to expand to meet the ever growing need by providing an opportunity for up to 720 veterans in fiscal year 2019.
