I’m Chris Daming, the founder and CEO of Legal GPS, in Saint Louis, MO. I can’t say enough amazing things about Vetbiz. Darcella Craven and Damon Chaffin have been pivotal players in our company’s success. We started our company over 4 years and I’ve talked to both of them 50+ times. Darcella has outrageous connections and with every new growth strategy we have, she always makes impactful connections for me. Damon is my #1 mentor -- similarly with every new strategy, I get his advice and he helps me see not only missing opportunities but also pitfalls. It’s incredibly helpful to get candid advice and is a breath of fresh air. I’ve probably sought some type of guidance or help from 15 different entrepreneur support orgs, and Vetbiz stands far above the rest with the contribution they’ve made for me and Legal GPS. The ad read "Are you a Veteran looking to start a business?" That was 2010 and today I am still advocating for all that the VBRC does for Veteran Small Businesses.

My personal story is that I started a service based business by attending their "Bootstrap" classes and received counseling. I managed that business for 6 years which led to my current role as a small business counselor.

The VBRC's dedication to the veteran community is overwhelming and I highly encourage any veteran to "not stand on the island of me" and ask for assistance with your business endeavors.

Best Kept Secret in St Louis

This organization is an asset to the community and to veterans at large. The services and networking they provide, under the extremely capable leadership of Darcella Craven is a source of pride for the St Louis community. The opportunity of the community to say thank you to our veterans by helping them suceed in business is an awesome one. Darcella has done a great job in developing programs and creating awareness to both veterans needing help and those wanting to help them.

Personally, I have participated in several programs where the objective was to teach erstwhile veteran business owners best business practices and financing.

She does a lot on a small budget and is very deserved of winning this award.
