I worked as a mentor for the Ventura County Veteran's Court with the VCMilC. My experience with the Collaborative has resulted in my advocacy for veterans. Using my understanding I have helped other veterans to achieve their needs through the VA. The Collaborative provides a valuable support network directly to needy veterans and active duty military. It also provides support to veteran advocates helping other veterans. The annual Operation Snowflake at Christmas is a treat for the helpers to watch the joy on the kids faces at Toy Mountain.

ROH is a nonprofit which work with the Ventura county military collaborative since the beginning. They have been instrumental in services to our clients. We provide therapy for Veterans, active duty, and at risk youth. The VCMC outreach has shown the clients the possibilities through the other 169 nonprofits within the community. It has been our biggest resource for continued care. Sooo grateful.

They assist the community in every way possible: from providing vets the resources and tools they need, to giving volunteers a great place with a purpose. This organization is so important to the community because we aren't a large enough base to warrant attention from USO, red Cross, etc. This organization is the local community helping the local veteran community. Can't say enough good things about them!

The Ventura County Military Collaborative is the most powerful non-profit assisting veterans in Ventura County. I have referred numerous students to the Collaborative for various reasons. Each time, my students received the assistance needed to resolve the issue at hand. They were cared for with respect and dignity and set up for success. It is wonderful to know that there are so many organizations within the collaborative dedicated to assisting veterans. The collaborative has direct access to ensure our counties veterans receive the best care possible. The annual Expo and Operation Snowflake bring it all together proving the positive impact brought to veterans in our community.
