Mission: To improve, in partnership with others, access to needed health care for the most vulnerable and underserved families of Ventura County.
Results: Since 1956, the Ventura County Medical Resource Foundation (VCMRF), a 501 (c) (3) organization is the catalyst in helping provide access to care and social and medical referral services for thousands of vulnerable, disadvantaged, low-income children, seniors, and their families. The Foundation partners with others, to optimize the health of the community. VCMRF has a reputation within the health care community as a proven support of the compassionate connection between caring and need.
Geographic areas served: Ventura County
Programs: 1) The Children’s Resource Program (CRP)-A dental and vision program that links disadvantaged children’s oral health and vision care needs with donated services; 2) The Senior Resource Program (SRP)-A system of care that provides low-income seniors, over 62, with free dental and vision care, and 3) Partners in Caregiving Program-This program aims to bridge the gaps in healthcare services by providing patients with care in a safe and comfortable home environment.
