The little people in our home have found connection and rewilding with VWP. I have seen how they have grown confident in who they are and in understanding their interconnectedness with all sentient beings. It is a blessing that comes every Friday.
Vashon Wilderness Program is providing our kids with the best outdoor experience we could imagine. They love their days at wilderness and the opportunity to be themselves, be outside, and be connected to and a part of nature.

VWP is by far the best thing our two kids look forward to, and thank goodness they get to go every week. They can be in nature with the best of mentoring and guidance and truly just be themselves. VWP also approached covid safety and protocols in such a responsible way that we have very much appreciated.
TGIF! This has been an intense year! Freedom and Friends in the Forests have made all the difference for us! Vashon Wilderness Program has been a literal and figurative breath-of-fresh-air, for our whole family. VWP has contributed greatly to our girls confidence, community building, leadership and over all sense of well-being. We always look forward to Fridays! They are the favorite day by far around here!
My eight year old has loved being outdoors, with the guidance of a mentor, and a great group of kids - They explore the natural world and find new wonders every week.
VWP is the highlight of our son’s learning that we all are truly blessed by! His confidence and sense of joy is unparalleled after a day in the forest with his friends and trusted mentor.
