I’ve noticed how much my grandson enjoys playing. He will often FaceTime me and perform a concert just for me. It makes me smile to see him so happy & enjoying himself with his music. This program aides us in guiding him in the right directions. It helps his development. I’m proud to say he’s growing into a very well rounded individual which is a great foundation for the God fearing man he will become. God bless.

I support One City because of the wonderful results of this jazz program -for the kids involved in making great music, but also for Vandercook’s future music professionals who are getting invaluable teaching and community service experience .

Vandercook provides opportunities for Chicago youth to participate in music. They engage children through learning an instrument, reading music and music history. The children also have opportunities to perform together.

One City at Vandercook College of Music has been an amazing place for our son. He has truly developed a love for music that will be with him for life. The teachers and other staff are great, really care for the kids, and are quite passionate about spreading their love of music to future generations. I would recommend them to anyone looking to make a difference in the life of a child.

One City is such a wonderful program for kids all over Chicago! Not only do they get to make friends and learn how to play jazz music, but they also get to keep their instruments once they graduate 8th grade!

VanderCook is committed to raise quality music teachers. Teachers are so committed to students’ development and student body takes care of each other as a loving community. One city program provides south side elementary students an opportunity of music making under the best teachers free of charge at VanderCook. I highly recommend VanderCook and One City program.

It's amazing to see a program that is there for the children of the community. Music is essential for children and having that at VanderCook through the One City program is incredible.
